"Sorcerer's Servant" is a roguelike "death game," where the difficulty is particularly high at the beginning. To help you get started, we've put together a guide on the basic early-game progression. We hope you find it useful.

▲ Before heading into the forest, you need to choose which items to carry in your bag.
Since the sorcerer has low defense and is prone to being defeated early on, it's recommended to take the following four items:
These items can be retained even if you get a game over.
-
[] Herb – Restores HP
[] Ring of Enhancement – Increases max HP when defeating enemies
[] Ring of Endurance – Increases physical defense when defeating enemies
[] Ring of Focus – Increases magical defense when defeating enemies

▲ When facing Kobolds and Goblins, prioritize selecting recovery, defense, and experience-boosting items in the slot system.
If these are not available, choose to skip.
Since early-game enemies have low defense, you can defeat them without needing attack-based items.

▲ Against Orcs, continue selecting defense-related items at first.
However, since Orcs have high attack power, switch to attack-based items toward the end of the fight to defeat them.
The spear is a recommended weapon as it has high power even with just one.

▲ If you have built up enough defensive gear by this point, you can significantly reduce damage taken, except for poison.
Balance your choices between defense and attack items as you progress.

▲ The Basilisk is a lightning-element monster, meaning it is weak to wind magic.
Use wind magic to deal effective damage.
By hovering over the attribute icon next to a monster's name, you can check its weaknesses.
If you're lucky enough to trigger a chain attack, you can deal even more damage and defeat it quickly.

▲ Continue balancing attack and defense items for the next monsters as well.
While some luck is involved with the slot system, you should be able to progress.

▲ When experience reaches the level cap, you can level up and allocate points to your stats.
Considering your current equipment, it is generally best to focus on increasing physical defense.

▲ Every five stages, you will encounter a mid-boss or boss.
Defeating them rewards you with items that provide advantages in battle.
These items can only be used during the current adventure, but they will later become available for purchase at the item shop.
Even though a game over means you only keep your money, the experience will help you discover new strategies—"Maybe if I do this, it'll work?"
Embrace the challenge and enjoy the struggle!
