Hot on the heels of the Heavy, Jupiter Hell Classic 0.13 "Medic" brings the second extra class to the Jupiter Hell universe! 5 brand new master traits and 5 regular traits open up brand new playstyles. To even up all that loot the game got in the last update, time to up the ante - time to introduce Exalted enemies to JHC!

As usual, the DRL mod and the Demo have also been updated to the newest version!

The traditional sectioned patch notes follow below.

== Medic! ==

GHJ#052 [new] -- Game - new class - Medic! GHJ#054 [new] -- Traits - 5 new Medic class Master Traits! GHJ#053 [new] -- Traits - 5 new Medic class regular traits!
MEDIC! Well, you won't be healing many people as you don't have any friends left, lol. But what you lack in mercy you make up for deadliness - be it causing bleeding, poisoning, or even demonic taint! The class has the more general approach to Master Traits seen before with the Heavy.

I could write about each Master Trait, but better just jump right in! (after reading these patch notes that is!).

== Exalted Enemies! ==

GHJ#430 [new] -- Game - Exalted enemies!
Jupiter Hell players know what to expect more or less, but there's some never-before-seen keywords added. Exalted enemies are beefed up versions of existing demons, each one with randomly picked keywords that affect its attack and defense capabilities. If you're starting out, don't worry, they don't appear on Easy, and on lower difficulties there are fewer of them. But the challenge on UV and up has definitely increased, beware!

== UI/UX ==

GHJ#433 [new] -- Game - support for game seeds and seeded games! GHJ#250 [new] -- UI - non-UI controller bindings can be configured in the settings GHJ#458 [mod] -- Game - adjusted challenge ratings to be more accurate GHJ#439 [mod] -- Game - the game will warn if engine and module versions are mismatched GHJ#442 [mod] -- Game - removed all "any" and "all" class badges as they were noisy with 5 classes now GHJ#421 [new] -- Mortem - damage taken, kill streak and per-weapon group kills are now in the mortem GHJ#424 [mod] -- Mortem - better death reasons for damage in player turn GHJ#416 [mod] -- Mortem - ADV perks will be displayed in mortems
As usual there's a plethora of UI/UX improvements, with one major feature - Seeded games! If you or your friend encounters an interesting level set, you can write down the random generator seed from the screen (bottom right) or the mortem, and have a go at it again! You can also set a challenge among friends to get the best results on a given seed! Since having a good seed is borderline cheating, Platinum badges and above are disabled when playing Seeded games.

Apart from that we've added more info to the mortem file, removed some badge bloat and made the game correctly scream if you're trying to run an unupdated DRL module on an updated JHC version :P (those who've seen lost souls fly through walls know what I mean).

== Buffs and nerfs ==

GHJ#427 [mod] -- Game - Sustained Fire trait buffed and has a value indicator GHJ#438 [mod] -- Game - warlock aura resistance boost nerfed to 25% GHJ#441 [mod] -- Game - sniper aimed shot does 2x damage instead of 1.5x GHJ#435 [mod] -- Game - much stronger hotstart protection (min distance difficulty based) GHJ#434 [mod] -- Game - summon levers now actually summon, and do it gradually in the room GHJ#423 [mod] -- Game - summon levers will no longer summon from off-moon GHJ#428 [mod] -- Game - tactical armor cannot be assembled from durability effect armor GHJ#423 [mod] -- Game - fire fiends apply burning on hit, resistance up to 50% GHJ#423 [mod] -- Game - fixed group weight adjustment and generation max-level GHJ#412 [mod] -- Game - fiends and reavers will cause bleeding (damage of both reduced) GHJ#423 [mod] -- Game - medical station health increase can be used once per station GHJ#412 [mod] -- Game - Angel of Humanity starts with an envirosuit pack GHJ#412 [mod] -- Game - stimpacks when you can't heal will still trigger their other effects GHJ#410 [mod] -- Traits - Brute unarmed damage bonuses reduced by 1(d3)
Uncharacteristically there are quite a few nerfs this patch, trying to keep everything equally interesting, and of note is the buff to your regular fiends and their fire friends - beware of the status attacks! Of course there's a couple of buffs too! And summon levers should now be much more survivable.

== Special level adjustments ==

GHJ#423 [mod] -- Game - Loki forge activation makes surviving enemies hunt you GHJ#423 [mod] -- Game - CRI Armory red doors are no longer destructible GHJ#423 [mod] -- Game - some Supply Depot walls have been made indestructible GHJ#423 [mod] -- Game - completing the Supply Depot will count if at least 3 rooms are visited GHJ#412 [mod] -- Game - Deep Vaults walls twice as tough GHJ#412 [mod] -- Game - CRI laboratory no longer guaranteed to generate
The Loki forge change is actually a buff so you don't have to look at that poor medusaling that hangs out in the corner when you want to maintain your 100% kill streak :P. And yes, some walls that were intended to be hardened weren't hardened. To make life easier though, Supply Depot can be "completed" for conqueror just by visiting 3 rooms.

== Fixes ==

GHJ#456 [fix] -- Game - Warehouse marker will be properly cleared if you have all assemblies GHJ#440 [fix] -- Game - respawned enemies will transfer respawn status to enemies spawned by them (i.e. medusalings) GHJ#438 [fix] -- Game - warlocks will treat CRI as the player group as intended GHJ#417 [fix] -- Game - Field Medic is now considered a "health trait" with respect to challenge badges GHJ#429 [fix] -- Game - fixed rare Lua errors related to Warlocks and suiciders GHJ#408 [fix] -- Game - you can now properly melee and hack drones over void tiles GHJ#420 [fix] -- Audio - fixed music popping between levels GHJ#415 [fix] -- UI - tightened SDL event handling which should prevent a class of hangs on some devices GHJ#397 [fix] -- Visual - Heavy didn't have a nice shirt, fixed
And as usual there's the standard list of fixes, most importantly CRI won't get buffs from Warlocks, lol :P

== What's Next? ==

We're almost ready to announce the release date - and the next version will either be 1.0 or 0.14 Ruins (what could that be?) The codename for 1.0 is Trials :)

So see you in the next episode!
