Once the next bug patch (Beta 2.0.01) is done i will start working on the next minor update (Beta 2.1) which will mainly be focused on separating downloaded maps and in game vanilla maps to avoid the big generation when starting the game that often causes issues and making adding more options when the player starts vanilla games easier.
i will also start working on Alpha 1 of a separate map editor.
i originally planned to not make one due to the horrible experience i had with the map editor in EarthRoyale as each time i did changes to the game it made the map editor completely stop working and it ended up being the same as working on 2 games at the same time but with any changes on 1 creating issues on both while also having to have them communicate with each other and therefore turning any small change to the game into a multi month thing,
instead i tried to make the map files for EarthRoyale 3 as easy to edit as i could, mainly modeling it after the modding experience of paradox games but I've noticed that most players see it as too hard or confusing or just scary to attempt and therefore will make a attempt at a map editor again
this time i'm going to make it its own separated app that will not update with the game and instead only be updated when needed or when it gets its own updates, I will keep it simple looking to make updating it as fast as possible and will attempt making it as user friendly as possible. therefore any suggestions or ideas is HIGHLY appreciated ^^ i do hope you're looking forward to hopefully try out Alpha 1 of it in the near future and i will try to do more announcements from time to time about the progress.
also for version naming of the map editor, during alpha it will still require some file editing outside of the map editor as i work on adding more features to it, once you can fully make a map and publish it to the workshop with 0 file editing outside of it i will change it to be in Beta and once i'm fully happy with how it works i will move it into full version even if the game itself is still in Beta
