DreamWorld is finally open to you and all of your friends (be prepared to make new ones)!
Your purchase of Early Access rolls over into any subsequent major state change releases.
You will not need to ‘re-purchase’ DreamWorld.
Comments from visitors, GDC/Game Showcase :
“This is the most ambitious game here, I can’t believe you guys pulled this off… Are you currently looking for investors?”
“Closest thing to the actual metaverse out there right now, that’s crazy.”
“You’re all insane, you know that right? I mean, you put everyone in a fully destructible world where they can build anything they want, and it all runs smoothly. How.”
“It’s like… Minecraft world but realistic meets Valheim or something for progression, then you sprinkled MMO on top. Plus Zelda gliding, I love it.”
Small Team, Big Dreams - What DreamWorld Is Today :
DreamWorld has been an active labor of love, developed by a small indie startup team of around 15 people at a time over the last 4 years (plus our earlier prototype phase). We are not a AAA studio, and we have only ever had one full time artist (he’s a warrior). DreamWorld is very much still in development, and as we have for the last 4 years, we will keep working closely with our tester/player community on Discord to create the experience we envision, and the features people are asking for.
It is best at this point in DreamWorld’s development to compare it to Minecraft (vanilla) and Valheim. The world is infinite, fully destructible, there are 80+ hours of core progression gameplay through 12 tiers of gear, thousands of biome/subbiome/topography variations, 4 world bosses, and an unending canvas to fill with your every dream. On top of all of these features, DreamWorld is also an MMO, enabling thousands of players to play together in the same world at the same time.
DreamWorld is currently primarily a creative-focused game, we are just debuting publicly, and are very excited to share this Early Access Work In Progress! We hope you love DreamWorld, and will join us in game and on our Discord for the rest of this incredible adventure to come! (We have only developed 10% of our design plans currently)
I’ve been designing and developing DreamWorld since I was 14, 17 years ago. This is such an incredible moment for me, and for my spectacular Dream Team teammates, and we’re proud and honored to be sharing it with you. Much love to you reading this, I can’t wait to see you in DreamWorld soon! - Zachary Kaplan, DreamWorld Founder

— It is because we have focused on these industry-leading technical feats that DreamWorld does not yet have AAA art (we actually only have one full time Artist! He’s amazing), or typical MMO features like Professions and Guilds, however these are next up on our development roadmap, and partnered with the technical feats we’ve brought to life, will offer truly novel MMO experiences for players around the world.
— That being said, DreamWorld still TODAY has 80+ hours of core crafting and survival progression gameplay comparable to Enshrouded, Valheim, and Minecraft, with MMO architecture on top. Players that jump in now will have a fun single player experience even if they decide to never engage with DreamWorld’s multiplayer MMO systems.
“DreamWorld Has The Best Building System In Gaming”
DreamWorld’s building system includes these features :
Freehand, no-snapping building piece placement (specialist placement, full control)
Snapping building piece placement (easy, fast, like Fortnite and Minecraft)
Scaling of building pieces on every axis (make your pieces as big or small as you want)
Rotation of building pieces on every axis (place a chair upside-down and take a seat ;) )
Build out of every resource in the world (yes, players have made Raw Meat castles)
AI text-to-3D (have AI generate exactly the building piece you’re looking for in live time)
Beautiful DW Team-Created Art (DW provides hundreds of beautiful building set pieces)
Select & Move (select your building pieces and easily move them elsewhere)
Select & Delete (mass-delete your builds to start over, get all of your resources back)
Copy & Paste (select your builds, turn them into Blueprints, and paste them elsewhere)
DreamWorld supports the highest volume of highest detail UGC in gaming today
<”For context”, it has been reported that Valheim and Pax Dei can only support ~50k building pieces in their entire game worlds before they get too laggy to play. Minecraft and Enshrouded cap UGC to build heights and even small “build zones”. DW can have tens of millions of pieces in just one small area, run at 60+fps in those areas on even 8 year old computers, and empowers players to build anywhere at any time, infinitely up, down, and out in any direction. Other games say they support limitless creativity- DreamWorld actually delivers.>
Basebuilding progression (claim spaces, upgrade them, crafting, farming, and buffs)
Permissions (specify who can and cannot do what in your claimed spaces)
Fully deformable voxel world (dig/mine terrain anywhere with craftable tools & magic)
Things you build give you buffs (build totems & mount Boss Trophies for cool powers)
Build minigames with interactive pieces (launchers, portals, trampolines, and more)
Build to win (use building & terraforming to gain advantages in Boss fights)
A High Level List of Core Features :
Tool and Gear Crafting (12 tiers)
World Exploration (thousands of biome + topography + subbiome variations)
Sub-terranian Gameplay (infinite tunnels and caves)
AI Creation Feature (in-game, live-time generation of custom building pieces)
Building System (see above)
Terraforming (the entire world is deformable)
Quests (through all four main bosses)
Tutorial (learn on rails, or ignore them and discover DreamWorld yourself)
Land Ownership (claim a space and build your dreams)
Social Features (friends, permissions, emotes, text chat, proximity voice chat)
World Bosses (the Four Fears, don’t face them alone)
Mounts (incredible beasts to ride across fantastical lands)
Infinite Procedural World Generation (pick a direction and adventure forever)
Full Destructability System (everything you see can be a resource to collect)
Farming (create your cozy farm, and raise powerful crops)
Preliminary Magic System (craft and wield powerful magic- much more coming)
Cooking (cook the buffing meals you’ll survive and thrive on)
Potion Crafting (gain the ultimate edge in any situation)
Over 200 Different Resources/Materials (collect and craft for hundreds of hours)
Thousands of Concurrent Players Server (play with all of your friends, MMO)
3,000 Simultaneous Player Rendering (thousands in one spot, creating together)
Climbing, Gliding , Flying, Swimming and more (adventure your way)
Pets (collect companions for your travels- much more to come here)
We do not plan to have any wipes, but we would pair any future ‘region resets’, if we make major improvement updates to world generation for example, with mechanisms for players to automatically save all builds and topography changes made inside protected volumes.
Create without fear! Go wild!
