The demo had been on hold due to optimization issues, but since the release is currently blocked, I’ve updated it with some improvements from the Early Access version.
It's not exactly new content, but you can now unlock a weapon that wasn’t available in the original demo by defeating the boss twice.
Why not give it a try while you wait? (It’s really going to be tough...)
