Hi everyone!
First of all I'm not really sure if anyone will read this but here I go. Aurora has been my baby for the past couple of years and I really wanted to make something good and unique. As a solo developer it's been hard to not be biased on things and even harder to show it to anyone because it feels that "it's never good enough" to show. Also I've been trying to get as many people to play the game as possible so I can get some feedback on it. This are some reasons why it has been this long so far to release the game (besides the endless scope creeping)... Or at least it was until the beginning of this year.
On January I became a father for the first time and it has been an amazing experience but at the same time really challenging. Everything is new and the time and energy available at the end of the day it's really low. From time to time I find some and work a bit on the game but the rest I just try to rest to be my best self the next day for the little one. This is why I decided I'm pushing the release date some months or at least after this year so I can focus on my family and myself and eventually I think or hope that the time and energy will come to dedicate to Aurora.
I'm really sorry if you were expecting to have the full game this year but I can promise I will be pushing new things from time to time so you can test it, specially on the "beta channel" the game has (on the steam launcher settings you can select the channel you want to download the game from).
If you are reading this, thank you very much for your support during this process and I hope you enjoy the game as much as I enjoyed making it :)
