We’re proud to announce a highly requested feature - the Perfect Block!
With the latest update scions now have the ability to perfect block enemy attacks. Block in the last moment before a hit connects to avoid taking damage and deal some fatigue damage back to the enemy. This opens up a new playstyle that many of you (and us!) have been asking for. In the long run we will also be adding seeds and upgrades that trigger on perfect block, to further deepen the system.
Another major feature we’ve been working on is Randomized paths. On the first two levels in both domains there are now a few paths and rooms that are randomly replaced between runs, so that the levels feel less static and to make every run feel less static. This is still under construction, and we will be adding more of these in future updates.
To celebrate these changes we're going live, in great company, with the SoulSale - a sale for masochists!
For our new players:
Since we’ve launched in Early Access just before summer we’ve made numerous updates, adding weapons, improving progression, enemy and player tracking and combat feel, balancing, performance, adding shortcuts, implementing a checkpoint system, and adding content in different forms. We’ve also overhauled the power scaling system so that you can hone in more on your build.
Please also be aware that most of this is subject to change - we like to experiment until we get the best result. This means that we need a lot of your feedback, so we warmly welcome everyone to our discord:

We’ve deployed 15 patches since we launched into Early Access this summer, making the game better based on the feedback we’ve gotten from you, Scions.
