Hello, everyone!
Mid-Autumn is almost here, wishing you a reunion under the full moon. Aotenjo will also join the Steam Autumn Sale: from September 26 to October 9, a 14-day 20% OFF matching the all-time low.
The sale comes with a packed content update: the new Mechanical Material Set launches with 23 Mechanical Artifacts, Boss-clear settlement is fully revamped, and 1 Dot puts on a Mid-Autumn limited skin.
Mechanical Material Set: install parts on your tiles
The new Mechanical Material Set includes 7 parts with different functions. Each Mechanical Tile can hold up to 3 parts, freely combined.
That means one tile can be assembled into completely different forms: which parts you install, which tile you put them on, and how you spend the three slots — every loadout is a new build decision. In the late game, it isn’t only luck. It’s also your craft as a mechanic.
Launching with Mechanical Tiles are 23 new Artifacts. They cover four axes — install, transfer, transform, and grow — and together they form a full Mechanical playstyle: mount parts, strip parts, move parts, and make them stronger the more you play.
New Boss Result Screen
This update adds exclusive animations for Boss clears and the final victory scene. The clear summary screen is also new: besides run stats, it shows discoveries.
1 Dot Mid-Autumn event material: round moon, rounder Dot
1 Dot gets a Mid-Autumn event material. Have you had mooncake this festival? While you play over the holiday, don’t forget to glance at that little “mooncake” on the table.
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, and thanks again for your patience and support.
You can find the full patch notes below.

[New]
Added Material Set [Mechanical]: 7 parts; each Mechanical Tile can install up to 3, freely combined.
Added 23 Mechanical Artifacts, built around installing, transferring, transforming, and growing parts.
Added Epic Artifact [Parasite]: whenever the Artifact to the left triggers any scoring effect, add Fan X1.1.
Added Gadget [Plasticine]: once per round, copies the effect of the last consumable Gadget used this round.
Added Artifacts [Copper Lock], [Silver Lock], and [Golden Lock]: grow by activating Common Patterns, and gain Pattern-upgrade effects.
Expanded Flower Tile play: Flower Tiles now support materials, colors, debuffs, shop modifications, and applicable Gadgets, and participate in more scoring and Artifact synergies.
Added Pattern Graph: view Patterns and Inheritance in Collections and during a run.
Deck [Galaxy Mahjong] adds [Whirlwind Quad], formed from Wind Tiles [East], [South], [West], and [North]. Supports playing a Quad and adding a tile to form a Quad.
Added Boss-clear and final-victory scene animations, plus a clear summary screen showing run stats, Best Hand, and new discoveries.
Mods: added custom tile-face colors — solid, gradient, and red-green swap.
1 Dot added a Mid-Autumn event material. Have you had mooncake? :D
[Improvements]
Removed shop refresh prerequisites for all material-related Artifacts. Each now also grants the corresponding material or color enhancement on obtain.
Flower Tile [Bamboo] now starts at 20 Base Fu, and permanently gains 10 Base Fu after the first scoring each round. Growth from old saves is kept.
Adjusted Pattern Inheritance: [Middle Tiles] now inherits directly from [All Simples]; [All Even Triplets] and [Golden Gate Bridge] no longer inherit directly from [No Honors] and [Short Straight], respectively.
Reworked Main Menu and in-run settings: better categories, gamepad controls, and saving/restoring resolution and display mode.
Improved Collections gamepad Back, category switching, and wraparound navigation.
Pinned hover-tooltip state is now shown by pin color instead of opacity.
Crafting ingredients in hover tooltips can be hovered to view Artifact details.
Updated tile Shader for better face colors and carved details.
Updated new tile-face VFX for material [Mysterious Porcelain] and Gadgets [Ink Brush] and [Hair Dryer].
Removed the duplicate Enchanted! popup on Artifact [Guqin], and the “+0 Fu” animation for 0 Base Fu.
Unified Main Menu and in-run volume and UI SFX; smoother audio when changing scenes.
Stronger backup/restore for corrupted saves, and better protection of the original file, so empty saves don’t overwrite progress.
Updated localization; filled in some Japanese Pattern names; fixed icons for Pattern categories [Multiple Sequences] and [Straights].
[Fixes]
Fixed Gadget [Mini Brush] still consuming uses and triggering Artifact [Toolbox] on cancel, and duplicate confirms causing duplicate scoring.
Fixed Artifact [Crystal Bookmark] rerolling into [Base]; if no higher-rarity candidate exists, it now tries the same rarity, otherwise keeps the original Pattern.
Fixed Insight not upgrading the corresponding Pattern.
Fixed incorrect multiplier checks on deck [Edict Mahjong], and wrong upgrade candidates on Artifact [Bamboo Slip].
Fixed Artifact [Four-Color Gem] double-counting subdivided Pattern categories.
Fixed Artifact [Guzheng] cleansing debuffs too early.
Fixed appearance and effect issues after material [Mysterious Porcelain] transforms into [Famille Verte Porcelain].
Fixed Artifact [Purple Gourd] missing On Round End effects after absorbing a Boss.
Fixed Flower Tile [Chrysanthemum] not extra-scoring the Pair; [Logging] hitting Flower Tiles by mistake; and state bugs when [Music] copies a Flower Tile.
Fixed missing Flower Tile On Round End effects, and stats lost after copying or loading a save.
Fixed effects still triggering after an Artifact or Flower Tile was removed; missing synergies after an Artifact was consumed; and scoring getting stuck.
Fixed Artifacts [Golden Seed], [Jade Ring], [Void Teapot], and others losing growth or trigger state after loading a save.
Fixed the Gadget sell button being blocked by Hand Tiles, and the settings UI selecting content underneath.
Fixed leftover Suppress overlays; Tile Reading Assistant losing Artifact [3D Glasses] effects; and wrong coloring after tile transforms.
Fixed the settlement button affecting other UI materials.
Fixed scoring animation speed-up being reset during consecutive scoring.
