From Game Jam to Steam
In 2015, I joined Ludum Dare 33, where the theme was “You Are the Monster.”
In just 48 hours, I built a small prototype called No Credit? No Problem!, a darkly funny paperwork sim about working as a title-loan agent.
The goal was simple: survive your probation day by processing 10 loan applications while following strict corporate rules.
Players quickly discovered that being a “good employee” sometimes meant becoming the monster yourself.

The Long Road
After the jam, life got busy. Between promotions at work and raising three kids, the idea sat in the back of my mind. But it never went away.
Growing up, I watched my mother struggle with title loans and pawn shops, and that real-world experience became the emotional core of the game.
Over time, the art improved, the writing deepened, and the world of Title 4 Cash began to take shape.

The Modern Version
Fast forward to August 2024, and the idea had grown into Bad Credit? No Problem!
It launched first on mobile, earning Apple’s Game of the Day feature and surpassing 1 million downloads across iOS and Android.
Then in October 2025, the game came to Steam, reimagined for PC with richer story moments, new gameplay options, and sharper commentary on the title-loan industry.
Now players can experience both Story Mode (the 14-day probation period) and Endless Shift, where each day gets harder as your moral compass gets tested. And for those looking for an extra challenge, the Fright Night Files DLC adds a spooky seasonal twist to the daily grind with new applicants, eerie paperwork, and a haunted late shift at Title 4 Cash.
Looking Back
From a 48-hour prototype to a full release, this journey mirrors my own years of work, family, and creative persistence.
Bad Credit? No Problem! remains a small, heartfelt project about survival, morality, and the choices we make to get by.
Thank you to everyone who has supported it along the way, and welcome to all the new agents joining Title 4 Cash.
💬 If you enjoyed the game, please leave a short Steam review. It helps other players discover it and means a lot to a solo developer.
