The first round is about to open
I'm about to start accepting Blitzers into the BlitzRift playtest. If you requested access, thank you. Before you get the invite, here is what you are signing up for.
This is the initial round. It's the rough one.
This is the earliest build anyone outside a handful of friends has flown. Expect:
Bugs. Real ones, including some that will end your session.
Unsteady servers. Disconnects, restarts, and ships that occasionally do things ships shouldn't.
Unfinished work. Placeholder art, sound and text, and balance that shifts from build to build.
Frequent updates. Something that worked yesterday may be broken today.
Resets. Credits and rank may be wiped as the systems underneath them change.
If you would rather wait for a smoother ride, that is a completely fair choice. Later rounds will be steadier.
Access comes in rounds
I'm letting people in a small group at a time so the servers (and I) can keep up. If you don't get in straight away, you haven't been skipped. More Blitzers come in as the build steadies. Steam will notify you when your access is granted.
What I need from you
Tell me what's fun, what's confusing, and what makes you want to stop playing. You don't need a solution or a diagnosis. Knowing what didn't work for you is the help.
When you launch the playtest, the startup page has the links for reporting problems and getting involved.
Take flight, and welcome to BlitzRift.
