Howdy Legends,
We are getting ready to release the first major content update for Frontier Legends, and this will be our biggest update yet!
As outlined in our roadmap, this update will open up three new zones (Zones 4, 5, and 6), expanding the world with new adventures, resources, enemies, and places to discover.
Official Dedicated Servers Arrive
One of the biggest additions in this update is the launch of official dedicated servers. Players will also be able to rent their own servers or host them independently.
Originally, we had planned to release dedicated servers shortly after Early Access launch. However, we felt we needed additional time for testing and fine-tuning to ensure they provided the best possible experience. We are happy to say that they are now ready and will be launching with this update.
We have partnered with Wabbanode as our preferred hosting provider, allowing players to easily create and manage dedicated servers directly through the game with minimal setup.
Of course, players who prefer other hosting companies are free to use them as well. Dedicated server files will be available through Steam, making self-hosting simple and flexible.
Whether you want to host a small private world for friends or create a large community server, Frontier Legends now gives players the freedom to play the way they want.
A Brand-New User Interface
We have spent a lot of time improving the overall look and feel of the game, including a complete UI overhaul to better reflect the western atmosphere of Frontier Legends.
This update includes:
Improved interface layouts and usability
Better item management and inventory displays
Clearer rarity indicators on items
Enhanced visuals throughout the UI
We've also added a social system, allowing players to:
Add posse members
Share claims with friends
Build settlements together cooperatively
New Resources, Crafting & Equipment
The new regions introduce several new mining and crafting resources, including:
Coal
Nickel
Tungsten
These resources unlock approximately 50 new craftable items.
We've also expanded equipment progression significantly:
60 new tool items and recipes
70 new gun items
Tool rarities with unique progression paths
As many players begin their adventure with a bow, we've added three new bow types, each with different statistics and playstyles, along with new arrow types that allow for greater damage customization.
Modular Building System – Phase 1
Many players requested greater building freedom, and we're excited to introduce the first phase of our modular building system.
Players can now construct their own structures using modular pieces such as:
Foundations
Walls
Doorways
Windows
Roofs
This is only the beginning. Future updates will greatly expand the system with additional designs, materials, decorations, and customization options.
New Wildlife and Exploration
The frontier continues to grow with:
3 new huntable animal species
Additional hideouts
New points of interest to discover
And of course, this update also includes a large number of bug fixes, optimizations, and gameplay improvements based directly on community feedback.
