Hey Orca Insurgents,
yuccabuccA here, just wanted to let everyone know I'm working diligently this month to get a playable version of the game out.
Thanks for everyone's patience and understanding. Doing the indie dev thing with a full time day job can stretch development times out in unexpected ways.
I hit 1 year of development on Orca Insurgency in November and feel its getting time to get it out to a larger audience.
As for development updates-
- Making 2 game modes - Campaign and "Protect the Pod" mode.
---- In Campaign mode, you rage across Europe's Atlantic coastline taking out everything from party boats and billion's yachts to disrupting supply chains and shutting down deep sea mining operations.
---- In "Protect The Pod" mode, you survive as long as you can while saving other orcas and taking out as many enemy waves as you can. Working on different variations of this theme and hope to implement a leader board for high scores.
-Created a a whole range of different yachts and boats including, cruise ships, large shipping boats and barges = ✓
-Added lots of sea life that you can interact with = ✓
-Made a ton of enemies boats, ships, sharks, and submarines = ✓
-Added Salmon Hat easter egg = ✓
Reach out if you have suggestions or want to get involved.
Stay posted for more updates coming soon.
