Your long vigil has begun, Commander. The Deathwatch has arrived in Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Deathwatch, the action packed sequel to the acclaimed Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters! Revealed for the first time today as part of Warhammer SKULLS 2026, the festival of Warhammer video games!
Take command of the forces of the Inquisition and the mighty Deathwatch in a brutal and fast-paced turn-based tactical RPG!
The foul corruption of the Mortarion’s Bloom contagion was purged by the Grey Knights of the Baleful Edict - but the enemies of the Imperium are never dormant. Foul Xenos armies plot against the authority of the God Emperor’s dominion, from the brutal Orks to the insidious Genestealer Cults. It falls to you, Commander, to take up arms and prepare to lead…the Deathwatch!
The next chapter in the epic Chaos Gate saga features a full requisition supply of the community’s most requested features, with 3 playable forces, 10+ mission archetypes, several enemy factions and much, much more!
As a direct sequel to Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters, this new chapter builds upon the critically acclaimed first game. Broad class identities, enhanced squad customisation and composition, and a wide variety of missions and units for deep tactical choices.
Command powerful vehicles such as the towering Redemptor Dreadnought, the agile Scout Sentinels, and the battle-hardened Leman Russ tank to unleash devastating ways to deliver the Emperor’s will.
As a newly sanctioned Inquisitor, you will join forces with the elite Deathwatch – the Imperium’s greatest Xenos hunters. Drawn from a wide range of chapters, united by a solemn vow to purge Xenos threats. Your Kill Team is forged from these veteran champions, each bearing their own chapter legacy and centuries of experience.
Build your squad from a wide array of specialists – fanatical Inquisitorial agents, resolute Astra Militarum forces, and elite Deathwatch battle brothers all bringing unique roles, abilities, and wargear. Deploy them across the war-torn worlds of the Tyrian expanse and face seven distinct enemy factions which force you to adapt in unique ways or perish.
Purestrain Genestealers burst from tunnels to overwhelm your lines, brutal Orks rampage across the battlefield, the T’au advance with calculated precision, and the forces of Chaos twist reality with their sorcery.
For commanders seeking pure combat focus, the new Skirmish Mode offers standalone battles. Configure your Kill Team, test new squad compositions, experiment with different tactics, and take on select factions in these new encounters. Whether you are refining your strategy or pushing the limits, Skirmish Mode gives you total control and endless replayability.
In the grim darkness of the far future, combat demands strong will and discipline. Positioning, timing and squad synergy define each engagement as you command your team into battle. Harness your squads’ unique abilities and wargear to make the Emperor’s will manifest. Use the battlefield itself as a weapon or tool as environmental hazards, destructible cover, and shifting conditions create opportunities that can turn the tides of combat in your favour.
Defend worlds under siege, assign agents to gather vital intelligence, and strengthen your Inquisitorial ship as you uncover more on the conspiracy that threatens the Imperium.
Across hostile planets, your actions and choices will decide the fate of the sector and the Imperium’s future within it.
