We hope you’re enjoying summertime (or wintertime if you’re in the southern hemisphere)… and we also hope you’re enjoying these updates to Animalkind! We’re back with another small one, as we polish up some UX and address some bugs. We’re placing together a bigger update in the background though that we’ll try to share soon enough. In the meantime, let us know if you have any feedback or wishes in the Discord. Or just to come and say hi, that’s great too! Enjoy!
Summary of Changes
Added UI elements to display purchase and craft quantity for items that would come in multiples (e.g., seeds, fishing bait).
Adjusted the toasters that display when you collect items.
Players can no longer purchase or craft items when their inventory is full. This eliminates some unusual, unintended behaviors.
Players can only fish while standing on solid ground now.
Entering design mode now has a sound effect! No joke, we live for small details like this.
Added a particle effect to bushes when you zoomie (or just plain run) through them.
Adjusted the emote radial menu to close when an emote is selected. Getting the menu out of the way will make it much easier to enjoy the emotes!
Adjusted the visual for plants that need watering so that the plots now appear dark if watering is not needed. This replaces the behavior for these plants where their plots appeared dry and would not darken when watered.
Addressed an issue that caused digging to sometimes yield no rewards in Tallwoods.
We addressed some minor or rare bugs we noticed over the past few releases.
As always thank you for supporting us as we improve Animalkind in Early Access! Have a great week!
