Hello everyone,
First and foremost, thank you so much for following and wishlisting my game on Steam! I was truly overwhelmed - in the best possible way - by the incredible interest the game has garnered in just the first few days after publishing the Coming Soon page. The response has been both exciting and surprising!
As a solo developer, I feel privileged to work on themes that I truly love, like sake brewing and Japanese culture and folklore. Perhaps unexpectedly, though the game is set in Japan, I am not Japanese! Based in Europe, I initially planned to target the English-speaking market, with plans to support languages like Japanese and Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) later on, depending on the game’s success.
You can imagine my surprise when, after reviewing the wishlist statistics, I saw a strong and growing interest from Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong! This made me realize how much I’d love to have the game support additional languages such as Japanese and Chinese (both Traditional and Simplified) from launch. However, I feel that anything less than professional, high-quality translations wouldn’t do justice to your incredible gaming communities. It’s something I’d truly love to see happen, but I’ll need your help to make it possible.
If you’re excited about seeing Japanese language support, please help spread the word about my game. The more wishlists Sakagura Life gets, the better our chances of finding a publisher who can help bring this vision to life.
Thank you again for your support!
