The nomination period for the Steam Awards is here!
With its beautifully-crafted pixel-art backgrounds depicting a cyberpunk New York City in the midst of urban war, plus its fluid sprite animation which brings each and every character to life, Neon Inferno truly has a unique visual style to contend with!
From long lonely stretches of highway, to smoke-filled lounges filled with enemies, and even to steel-plated fortresses dotted with hazards, the environments of Neon Inferno are not just flavorfully designed: they put the player into the action. Whether you're navigating through crowded concert halls, blasting away at your enemies through the burning streets of the Bronx, or battling mechanical monsters in the flooded West Village, you'll put your skills to the test amidst the neon lights and mechanical flair of this dystopia.
And how could we make a case for Neon Inferno's outstanding visual style without mentioning its character work? With expressions ranging from idle, hurt, defeated, or even burning (if they're your enemies, of course!) along with smooth animation for every bit of movement, every attack, and every extravagant boss pattern, Neon Inferno gives its sprites a wide range of emotions. And they're further brought to life by the snippets of voice acting which you'll hear mid-combat!
There's no doubt Neon Inferno has its own dazzling audiovisual flair, and we'd be honored if you nominated the game for the Steam Award of Outstanding Visual Style!
