Update v0.5.4
Major Changes and Improvements
• Combat System Overhaul: Significant improvements to the combat system, addressing numerous issues with summoning that could cause the game to freeze.
• Effect System Update: Expanded from 10% to 90% of all 100 effects, overhauling the effect system to better handle bugs and reduce freezing.
• AI Enhancements: Fixed bugs that caused the AI to attempt to play cards in the same spot, improving overall AI behavior.
Bug Fixes
• Resolved an issue causing the game to freeze at the start of combat when cards were not being drawn.
• Various fixes and improvements to reduce unexpected errors and improve stability.
Testing and Future Improvements
We've implemented an extensive testing system where the AI battles against itself with different decks each night 100s of times. This helps identify bugs that we can fix to ensure a more stable experience.
In the next patch, we'll add an Error Reporting System, providing an option to send error reports directly when issues occur. This will save time gathering logs and help us catch edge cases more efficiently.
We're also adding a Feedback Box for you to share your ideas and suggestions, helping us shape the game based on your input.
In the end, all these fixes and improvements aim to create a more stable, faster, and overall better experience for our players.
