Just updating some stuff to iron out some bumps for the game! Mostly features small fixes, most notably the movement improvements on ramps and a better Wallkicking camera.
I think this closes out the majority of the bugs left in the game! I'll be focusing on moving towards creating more content for our 1.0 release now. It's been really awesome seeing everyone share their progress and ridiculous runs in our discord, it's actually so cool I'm so happy everyone's enjoying the game so much <3
🏃♂️ Movement Changes
- Improved wallkick viewkick control, now locks your viewkick for 0.1s and will smoothly cancel out if you are turning your mouse This should prevent a lot of weird bugs and loss of speed related to your camera viewkicking on wallkicks
- Improved velocity retention on leaving ramps Notable on Phoebe's Bridges, leaving ramps should have a much more predictable trajectory
✨ Improvements
- Sliding, cont'd gold time increased from 14.5s to 15s
- Worlds on the level select now will unlock when completing the first level of that world
- This helps encourage exploring the hub between completing worlds, and talk to Momo!
- Added popup tutorial to City Gates about surfing
- Added level name to leaderboards when pulling the leaderboards up at the level finish screen
- Added medals to the top right level info in-game
🔨 Fixed
- Fixed exploit where you could retain speed when resetting after colliding with a short wall or sliding certain slopes
- Fixed time formatting on hour+ long runs
- Fixed a bridge in Phoebe's Bridges
- Fixed some supports in Feel The Breeze
- Fixed UI elements not clearing when re-entering the hub after loading a level
- Removed 'Query Failed' notifs, they weren't very informational
- Added in a missing track, to the middle of Seabreeze City go listen to it
- Disallowed menu buttons from being pressed while invisible (sorry Jade 😭 )
