GONZO version 1.0.2 is out now, with new locomotion settings that some players have been requesting! This update gives you more control over how you move around and play the game, and makes both seated and roomscale play more comfortable:
- Adds a new “Settings” menu in the main menu
- Adds a setting to change between controller-oriented (default) and head-oriented movement. In controller-oriented, your joystick movement is relative to the direction you point the controller. In head-oriented, your joystick movement is relative to the direction you’re looking.
- Adds a setting to enable smooth turning. When smooth turning is off (default), rotating happens in 45 degree increments. When smooth turning is on, you smoothly rotate for as long as you hold the turn button.
- Adds a crouch toggle feature: pushing down on the joystick (center of trackpad for Vive) will toggle crouching, making you shorter and harder to detect. You can still physically crouch, but this should make seated play a more comfortable option (or play standing and don't worry about doing squats!)
