OUR ROADMAP FOR TAXI DRIVERS
First of all, we’d like to thank our Players, our Fans, our Families, our Children, their Children, and then the Children of their Children (who aren’t even here yet, but will surely be someday), and above all, Taxi Drivers from all over the world for your support, commitment, and determination in helping us with building this project together. We apologize for the massive delays, but as someone wise once said — better late than never!
FINAL DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP FOR CYBERTAXI: LUNATIC NIGHTS
We are currently in a development phase called Early Alpha. Many of the core mechanics are functional but need to be refined and improved. First of all, we want to make a more pleasant introduction to our game, especially for new players. Optimization is also one of the key areas we absolutely must focus on. Our current goal is the Early Beta version, which should be released by the end of this year and will feature two new districts, new missions, new weapons, advanced tutorials, and above all — improve all the currently-available mechanics and features (and make the game more playable in terms of hardware issues, instead of watching a slideshow!). Also, in order to improve our production process, we have decided to combine second and third district into one area. The game will have three unique disctricts instead of four distinctive areas.
Even though we're still working on the Early Beta version, we'd like to reward you in some way.
In the upcoming update, which we plan to release in October 2026, we want to offer you the following features:
ADVANCED TUTORIALS — The opening mission kicks off the player's story, but it doesn't teach us the complex mechanics of the taxi vehicle. Current tutorials provide guidelines just to the basics of the game. We want to improve this and extend your journey to Prison City with additional attractions.
IMPROVED OPTIMIZATION OF THE FIRST DISTRICT — We all know what Unreal Engine 5.6.1 is like. It’s magnificent and awe-inspiring, but difficult to optimize, especially for a development team as small as ours. However, we want to take a closer look at this and create updated graphics presets to enhance your gaming experience.
THE SECOND DISTRICT (50% COMPLETE) — We want to let you explore a new area. For now, these will be simple carry passenger to desired destination fares, collect stuff missions, and the first three story missions from the second district. We know it’s not much, but you’ve already waited too long for brand new content, and we want to keep you updated with new stuff as the game development continues.
TWO NEW WEAPONS — A new giant gun mounted on the roof of your taxi will simply make you smile.
