Half-Life 2: Update BETA Patch - April 17nd 2015

This Update Patch applies just for the Half-Life 2: Update BETA

Changes in this beta update patch are:

  • Added VR/Oculus support.
  • Added all audio languages present in base Half-Life 2 (Commentary is still
  • English only)
  • Added better support for INTEL HD 4000 series.
  • Fixed rare issues with achievements not triggering.
  • Fixed progression-halting issues caused by playing commentary nodes.
  • Added additional hand gripping the AR2 in the view model. [Onemanshadow community fix]
  • Added proper AR2 world model. [AslsAy community fix]
  • Additional small Tweaks.

    Map Fixes:

    d1_trainstation_01

  • Fixed FOV being locked regardless of players' settings in the first chapter
  • Fixed issue with an npc_scanner getting “stuck” in midair.

  • Fixed a missing grass detail.

  • Fixed HEV suit prop skin in “A Red Letter Day” to match the existing view model hands.
  • Adjusted light on HEV suit container when opened.

  • Fixed some issues with the sun clipping underwater.

  • Improved fog blending on the shore refinery.

  • Fixed the overly-large train death trigger on the top of the Highway 17 Bridge.

  • Fixed a rare issue where Alyx would not begin a scripted sequence after the player survived the turret battle.
  • Fixed the rare “Double Alyx” bug.

  • Fixed a rare bug where after storming the gate, an NPC would become invisible and crash the game.

    Just be sure to try verifying your game cache before reporting an issue. Some files have been reported getting lost or corrupted during download.
