Apologies for the delay, a couple of these issues were tougher to deal with than expected.
Smaller list of fixes today -- but more substantial on the backend.
Rewrote the crouch/crawl logic. Should be much more reliable now. Note that you may be able to find some holes in the ship colliders, as I haven't fully updated them to account for tiny player. In extreme seas there may be some jitter as well -- still working on cleaning that up.
Significantly overhauled the heel logic for lateen sails. *Should* be more reliable, and no longer result in reverse heel from what is expected.
Mooring ropes should now be persistent, and should properly apply force on reload.
Significantly overhauled the behavior of yards on lateen sails, should be more predictable in movement, and less likely to 'explode' causing ctd.
Added an option to skip the intro sinking scene. (Hold interact once loaded)
Made a number of speculative changes to the object drift some players experience. I've not been able to replicate this issue, so has been difficult to diagnose. Currently only masts and cleats have been altered -- but I would appreciate letting me know if you still experience issues, or if any new and horrible behavior is witnessed.
Also would be interested if any dramatic performance changes are noted -- as I've cranked up the physics iterations a bit to hopefully reduce explosive depenetration on jointed objects.
Fixed a bug with tasks related to variable player origin -- that would cause the task to regard the player as being either too far or too close in some cases. Unclear if this was also the cause of the inability for some players to receive rewards, but hopefully. (Another one I've not been able to reproduce -- but I'm working on it.)
Increased ship inertia significantly, should be slower to accelerate, and maintain speed longer. (Still much quicker than reality -- but don't want to slow things down too much.)
These changes won't effect your saves, but due to the amount of changes to physics objects, it may cause some unintended behavior, so comments are appreciated if you run into anything weird. I'll continue working through the weekend, though I'm stuck transporting relatives so will be out of town off and on.
