New difficulties; Hard and Permadeath
Chapter 2 is out now
2026 plans
In 2026 I'll be focusing on:
More patches to improve Chapter 1 and 2
More menu options and quality-of-life improvements
Increased marketing, including new trailers for Full Release & Chapter 3.
Heavy in development of the Finale Chapter 3.
Full Release
Estimated release window:
October 2026 and March 2027
Full Release will include:
Chapter 3 Finale
More languages
3-4 hrs of total gameplay
Polished overall experience
3 difficulties (Possibly more)
Performance optimisations
Full release carries extra weight, like localisation, more playtesting, additional playthroughs, and expanded marketing, so development will take longer.
The price will increase at full release, but I'm not sure at what price yet!
Until next time
I will continue sharing updates with you over the coming year. For now, I hope you all stay healthy, content and enjoy what ever the new year brings!
And thank you for supporting Confronted. I'll leave you with a few work-in-progress screenshots from a new location in Chapter 3:
