Hello!
Another month has passed since the July announcement, and somehow it's already August!
I happened to look back at the news post I wrote this January, and apparently the "Epilogue of the Epilogue" stage was planned to be finished in June.
But now it's already August, and it's not even halfway done yet...
Looks like I still have a very long way to go. Haha...
Anyway, this announcement will cover:
Added difficulty settings for the Epilogue stages
Added a scoring system to the Epilogue of the Epilogue stage + various other things!
Please check below for the details!

[1. Epilogue Stage Difficulty Update]
As announced last month, I've added a difficulty system to the Epilogue stages as well!
However, unlike the main story, which has three difficulty levels, the Epilogue has only two!

The differences between the difficulties are as follows
1. Normal (Newly Added Difficulty)
Fewer enemy types and fewer enemies overall, with 1–2 boss patterns removed
Easier requirements for activating the Coin Bonus
2. Hard
The original difficulty from before the difficulty system was added
That's it for the difficulty updates for the main story and Epilogue stages!
Next up is the Epilogue of the Epilogue stage update!
[2. Scoring System Added]

What's one of the first things that comes to mind when you think of a shooting game?
A scoring system!
So I made one!
However, instead of making a typical scoring system, I decided to give it my own twist!
First, to help explain the scoring system, let me start with the prologue to this Epilogue of the Epilogue stage...
One week after the main story and Epilogue.
Just as Kim Ttolttol is peacefully going about her everyday life, God and the others show up again... and again!
It's already their third meeting in less than a month, and just as Kim Ttolttol is starting to get tired of them, God reveals a new plan!
Believing that the previous incident had damaged their prestige, God and the others come up with a plan to turn their exploits from the main story into a game and restore their lost prestige.
They team up with the aliens who used to be their enemies to make the game!
And, while also using the game to promote themselves through streaming, they decide to give Kim Ttolttol the honor of being its very first player.
Kim Ttolttol feels uneasy about God's proposal, but once she hears that it's a new game, she can't resist her gamer-girl instincts...
And in the end, she accepts...
That's roughly what the prologue is like, so I designed the system around the concept of streaming Ttolttol's gameplay!

Therefore, there are six types of score items:
Likes, Chat, Follows, Shares, Store Visits, and Wishlists!
Depending on how Ttolttol plays, such as defeating enemies at close range or defeating them with
special attacks, the audience engagement increases, causing more score items to appear or higher-tier
score items to drop!

For the score display, there are two types
The Total Score at the very top, and the Temporary Score below it!

When you collect score items, they are first added to your Temporary Score.
If you collect score items continuously within a short period of time, you can gain up to three levels of score multiplier bonuses!
Base: Score × 1.0
Level 1: Score × 1.2
Level 2: Score × 1.4
Level 3: Score × 2
If score collection stops for a certain amount of time before your Temporary Score reaches 25,000 points, the Temporary Score you've accumulated will be banked into your Total Score as-is!
On the other hand, if you keep collecting points and your Temporary Score reaches 25,000 points, Banking Mode activates immediately!
During Banking Mode, you receive an additional 5,000 points,
and for a certain amount of time, points you earn receive an additional ×1.3 multiplier.
Afterward, your Temporary Score is finally banked into your Total Score!

Every time the Total Score you earn reaches a multiple of 200,000 points, a Total Score Bonus activates!
You'll receive one of the following bonuses
Maximum Lives: 5
If your lives are below the maximum: Life +1
If your lives are already at the maximum: 20,000 bonus points instead

Of course, Temporary Score that hasn't been banked yet is not safe.
If you get hit, your multiplier level, Banking Mode, and accumulated Temporary Score will all be reset!
So I designed the system around making the player decide whether to keep collecting points for an even bigger bonus,
or safely bank the points they've earned so far!
In short
It's a scoring system where the longer you keep collecting points in succession and the more safely you bank them, the bigger the bonuses you can earn.
[3. Plans for the Next Update]
For this Epilogue of the Epilogue stage, I've added the Total Score + lives + some enemy defeat illustrations that I hadn't drawn yet.
For the next update,
I plan to work on the still-unfinished Stage 1 boss background and add a Shop System.
I'm giving myself plenty of time, so I'm currently aiming to have them done around late October, before November!
To briefly explain how the Shop System will work:
After clearing a stage, you'll move to the shop.
There will be a total of 8 different upgrades, and you'll choose 2 of them to upgrade!
I'll go into more detail in next month's development progress announcement!

Lastly, the features added in this update are features that I did not think of when the game was originally released!
If you encounter an unexpected bug or error while playing, such as the game crashing or an error occurring, please report it through the link below or by leaving a comment on this news post. Feedback about the difficulty is also welcome!
I will do my best to fix any reported issues as quickly as possible!

That concludes today’s announcement.
Thank you very much for your interest in the game I developed!
