Hello everyone, Gronkins here with patch 1.0.0 which is the official release of Dungeon Exiles! So just to be clear, this is the release of the full version of the game and this is not an update to the demo version of Dungeon Exiles. With that out of the way, let’s get into it!
New Content
Two new floors have been added: The Halls of Rebirth and Varathos, City of the Dead
Synergy 8 bonuses have been added for all archetypes for every class
New Game Mode: Endless
Upon clearing Varathos, City of the Dead (Floor 5) on any difficulty you’ll be able to select Endless Mode to continue your run and loop back to The Fallen Gate of Azamar (Floor 1) and face scaled-up enemies
Nightmare Difficulty System
Upon clearing Varathos, City of the Dead (Floor 5) you’ll unlock the ability to increase the difficulty of the game. The base difficulty of the game is Nightmare 0 and this scales all the way up to Nightmare 6. Each Nightmare increases the damage of all enemies (including their attack damage, attack speed, and ability damage) but also, certain Nightmares will add additional difficulty such as reducing enrage timers and adding a Resolve cost to certain room types
The Nightmare system is unlocked on a per-class basis. So if you unlock Nightmare 6 as the Warrior you won’t automatically have it unlocked as the Mage. The idea is that the Nightmare system is proof of your mastery of each class, and to show off that mastery you’ll unlock a cosmetic skin for each class if you manage to beat Nightmare 6 that you'll be able to use in all future runs!
Steam Achievements
44 Steam Achievements have been added. These range from things such as: beating the game on a certain class, having a certain stat, meet a certain condition, but also there are some challenge-based achievements for those who want to test themselves. Lastly, certain items can be unlocked through certain achievements
New Random Events
An Encounter with Fate: which allows you to trade some of your Resolve for Reroll Dice
The Divine Shrine: which allows you to trade some of your Resolve for a temporary buff
Equipment Items
45 new Equipment Items have been added which can be found in Shops and/or Treasure Chests, these items include: Class-specific items, treasure items, and of course, legendaries!
Sound and Music
2 new combat tracks have been added
2 old combat tracks have been removed
3 combat tracks have been revamped
4 new hit variation sound effects have been added
