We're excited to bring you the v0.2 update for Singularity Survivors, packed with new features, improvements, and bug fixes! So if you haven't jumped in yet, now is the perfect time!
Here’s what’s new in v0.2:
New Features:
- Intro Mission: A brand-new mission has been added to introduce players to the lore of Singularity Survivors.
- Random Characters: Now, every time you join or start a game, your character will be randomly assigned. This feature is still in testing and will be refined in future updates.
- Player Marker on World Map: Players can now see their marker on the world map! Press M to open the World Map.
Improvements:
- Mutant Despawn Time: Mutants now despawn after 12 seconds (up from 7), giving players more time to loot them.
- Anomalies: Anomalies now have enhanced visual and sound effects, including a portal at the destination and a temporary fog cover to help players survive potential encounters with enemies upon arrival.
- Inventory and Max Weight: Improvements to the inventory system, with increased size and max weight settings.
- Sound Enhancements:
- Updated the damage sound to something more fitting.
- Adjusted monster sounds for a more immersive experience.
Bug Fixes:
- Animation Fixes: Resolved issues with buggy animations while running with a flashlight or knife, and fixed the rifle animation when running.
- Dr. Marcus Dialogue Bug: Fixed an issue causing players to fall under the base during dialogue with Dr. Marcus.
- Mission Save System: Fixed bugs in the mission save system.
- Loot Boxes: Increased the chances of finding magazines in loot boxes.
- Audio Settings: Fixed issues where certain audio effects were not responding to settings changes.
- Weather System: Addressed bugs in the temperature system to improve accuracy and consistency.
Temporary Changes:
- Vehicle Removal: Vehicles have been temporarily removed and will return in the next patch, which is coming in a few days.
Known Issues:
- Starting a new single-player game does not reset saved missions. We are working on this and will fix it in a future update.
