Hear ye, hear ye Fermentines📯
The monastery has been quite busy over the past weeks, and today we bring you the update that brings Ale Abbey to its 1.1, Requiem for a Brew! A hearty update that we have been painstakingly brewing based on your feedback, it brings a multitude of UI improvements, new world flavor, spooky surprises, and some much-needed “smoothing” to make things more palatable under the hood.
UI Changes
Cleaner, Sharper, Friendlier
- Updated tooltip for fermenters and boilers when a valid coordinate exists, but the high spot is occupied

Achievements
If you ever liked “cheesing” it, you can stop holding your breath now…
- The “Cold Cellar” achievement can now be unlocked by moving an existing cellar to the lower floors (it’s a feature, not a bug)
World
New Events, New Art, Weather Effects!
- A brand-new ghostly World Event now haunts the Abbey…
- Fixed furniture-movement issues in the Abbot’s room
- Fixed laymen’s exception for newly finished rooms being moved
- Added new SFXs

Backend
Smoother Than a Well-Rested Lager
- Fixed trait-count calculation for the More Than Three Traits judge’s dislike (your competition results should now be more logical!)
A Small Favor from the Fermentine Order… 🍻❤️
If Ale Abbey managed to get you to find peace and quiet for a weekend or two… or months (we don’t judge), or maybe made you grin thanks to your brewing success, consider leaving us a Steam review. It helps enormously with visibility and brings more monks, nuns, and curious wanderers into the Abbey.
From everyone here at Hammer & Ravens and Shiro,
Brew and be merry!
