Kings and queens, the big moment is finally here: we're happy to announce that 9 Kings will finish its Early Access and launch into 1.0 on November 12, 2026.
Check out our very sick release trailer below!
What will be in 1.0?
Here's the full scope of the official launch.
1. Four Unique Game Modes
I. Singleplayer: break the game in the classic style in dozens of difficulty levels.
II. Multiplayer: fight builds from all over the world and climb the ladder to become the king of kings.
III. Quest mode: travel across the 9 lands and beat unique challenges as you crack new puzzles.
IV. Joker mode (NEW!): a much-requested custom mode that will allow you to set the rules like a real king.
2. 130+ cards
Initially, the game was supposed to have 81 cards, but look at us now: thanks to you, we've managed to expand by 9 Kings more than we could ever imagine. For 1.0, our special card pool keeps growing, and a huge batch of Rainbow cards will arrive, while also leaving space for other shapes of growth in the future!
3. 140+ decrees
Over 30 new decrees will give you hundreds of new ways to find insane combos. Each king will finally have 9 unique decrees, while universal and rainbow decree counts will settle in multiples of 9.
4. 110+ perks
New multiplayer and universal perks will help us explore new meta mechanics and make sure the game remains 9-aligned.
5. 80+ quests
Quest mode will gain its final polishing touches and allow for potential future expansion!
6. 140+ vanity items
A huge new batch of vanity items for multiplayer will help you customize (and maybe break) your king's profile in unimaginable ways.
7. Improved gameplay
New sound effects, improved animations, enhanced performance, and your QoL requests. If you've been following our development, you know how we take all of it very seriously. 1.0 comes to bring our vision together.
8. The Joker
Behold, a new game mode: the Joker introduces a much-requested CUSTOM MODE in the game! That's right: you will now be able to build your own 9-card deck, tweak game rules, and take breaking the game to a whole new level.
9. 9 Kings
We couldn't be more proud of how far we've come and grateful for your support. If you've been since the beginning, you'll remember a year ago 9 Kings only had... 6 kings. Now, we've doubled our original game scope, introducing a bunch of new game modes and yes, 9 Kings. For 1.0, all of them will be in better shape than ever, with necessary balancing tweaks, a huge batch of new decrees, and extra polishing.
We can't wait to start the 1.0 journey with you. This is just the beginning.
