Silver Waffle v1.5 update brings support for mods
The game now includes a built-in mod editor, from where you can create and edit your mods, and submit them to the Steam workshop. This initial version allows you to replace 3d-models and their collision shapes, images, shaders, and sounds. For more information about modding Silver Waffle see Docs/Modding.html in the installed files for the game.
Modding competition
A modding competition will be held, with Steam keys to Silver Waffle for prices as follows:
- 1st place: 5 keys
- 2nd place: 3 keys
- 3rd place: 2 keys
Participanting to the contest requires submitting a mod, players can then vote on it, and the winners will be determined by the number of votes.
Submitting a mod must be announced in a new thread on the General discussion group, one thread per mod. Include the name of your mod, and maybe a link to it, otherwise it's freeform what you want to say there.
Votes are cast on the mod submit thread by replying in the thread, the contents of the reply does not matter, all replies count as +1 vote, one vote per individual. The mod submitter is automatically counted as one vote.
All participants and voters must own the game when the results are calculated, this is verified by checking for the "mouse" icon in the relevant threads and replies.
Multiple mods can be submitted by the same person.
You must have the (copy)rights for the assets your mod contains, and the assets must be valid as per the Steam workshop terms of service.
You can keep updating your mod after submitting it for the competition.
I will send a temporary friend-invite in Steam for the winners to deliver the keys.
