This month's dev log is a little different. There's no new weapon to swing or hazard to dodge — instead, we did the kind of work you'll never see but will absolutely feel: we rebuilt how your adventure gets saved. The whole thing is live on our servers right now, running stable, and it makes one promise stronger than ever — your progress is safer.

What Changed

Until now, the game saved your character and the world using an older system baked into the engine itself. We've moved all of that onto a brand-new, dedicated game-data service that runs on our own servers. It's already shipped to production, it's live, and it's stable. The old system has been fully retired.

In plain terms: the part of the game responsible for remembering who your adventurer is, what they've done, and where they left off now has a proper home built specifically for the job.

💾 Your Progress Is Safer

The biggest win for you is reliability. We specifically hardened how the server saves your progress when it shuts down or restarts — so a server going down for maintenance no longer means risking the last thing you did.

• The server now saves your progress safely whenever it shuts down or restarts.
• On top of that, your progress autosaves roughly once a minute while you play.
• Together, that means far less risk of losing what you've earned.

⚙️ Faster, Safer Updates From Here

A cleaner, more modern backend isn't just tidier for us — it's better for you. When the foundation is solid and easy to work with, new features and fixes are quicker to build and safer to ship. Less time wrestling with old plumbing means more time spent on the things you actually play.

🌍 A Foundation for the Future

This new system was built with where we're headed in mind. It's designed to support running and consolidating multiple game servers and realms down the line — the groundwork for a bigger, more connected world as the community grows.

Tested Before You Ever Noticed

We don't take chances with your characters. Before retiring the old system, we validated the new one end-to-end on a live server — creating characters, logging in, logging out, and deleting characters — all working with zero errors. Only once everything checked out did we fully switch over.

Why It Matters

This is the kind of invisible work that doesn't make for flashy screenshots. But it's exactly what keeps your adventure safe and lets us move faster from here on out. A stronger foundation today means better, more frequent updates tomorrow.

Thanks for adventuring with us while we strengthen the ground beneath your feet. See you out there.
