Alright, so let's start with the most obnoxious thing that everyone hates, and I'm sorry to promote it here. (If you want, scroll down a bit, and ignore this, you may pretend this is a YOUTUBE Ad, the real stuff is down below.)
I did make a Patreon, I'll make some post sometimes with exclusive things, there will be public posts and private post for Patrons only. So, just something I'd mention. I feel I would mention this because some people have some lovely characters of their OCs, and I'd like to happily add some characters around town.

If anyone does purchase this tier, they will be added to the game, no questions asked. (Well, questions are asked, actually. That was just a joke, here are some questions, or answers.)
Why is a character so expensive?
Think about it this way, I'm drawing your character, rigging them, animating them, then programming their functions in game such as making their animations work, talking to Frei, etc. That stuff takes time. In today's time, it is considered more. Though, in today's economy, I feel I can make it $100 for people to have their characters in.
(Oh yeah, purchasing that tier, you also get a key for the game. Just updated the Patreon info.)
- What's your OCs personality? What would they say to Frei?
- I'd prefer no crazy color characters, if your character is human, or any anthro formed character that is human like, I'll be turning them into an animal. What would your favorite animal be?
- Don't have an OC? Can myself, the developer, doodle and rig the desired OC if described? The answer is yes, I'll happily create your OC if you gave me any references, detailed descriptions, anything.
Stuff like this is just what I mean, but it's a start. Sorry to promote this, once again. But aye, indie dev and full-time college? My fault, haha. Please don't feel the need to ever donate anything, this is just something to announce, once again. Now, let's get into it. I yap a lot. (Fun fact, this game will go over ADD and some forms of autism! Something that makes this stuff irrelevant.)

NON PATREON STUFF
Now let's get into the REAL STUFF.
So last devlog, I promised that you wouldn't hear from me until I was finished with the forest area, and I am basically done, just gonna work on the cutscene transition and go on from there. I started working on the models for the town, and let me explain real quick because I know what's going on and others don't.
This game is placed in an open-world town, so you can explore. It's a very old looking town. You'll see it and understand what I mean. Though, it'll take time to see it fully. But I have some example model to show. This is not even close to being done, so judge early please, haha.

This looks EXTREMELY early, heads up. Though, let me show you with what I have currently, as this is a day outdated. What I use is Maya for the plain flat textures and then run it through Substance Painter for better normals, height maps, etc, all those fun things. So it won't look BOOORING.
Haven't exported it into Unity, as I'm still working on it, so enjoy the actual one simple screenshot. Though, buildings are going to be close to each other and hugging. Here is a screenshot of what I mean. I would also like to mention, there will be NO copy and pasted buildings. Big nono. All buidings are going to be visually different.
I would also like to share one thing too about the dialogue. This was painful to actually make work, but got it working. I added options for a simple YES or NO type of thing, so. There will be more stuff like this later in the game, multiple options, who knows. I'm experimenting with things. I want this to work with the controller, so I have to actually make this work. It only works with mouse/keyboard right now. 100% of this game only works on mouse and keyboard, not controller. (Yet.) I want controller support, as I know some people have disabilities.
So yeah, looks like this, I will say, I already moved the buttons around, so it looks different and doesn't look as odd as it does right now. At least to me. Some people may not like how it looks.
Anyway, think this is really it. Things are going well. Just taking a lot of time, too. I would also like to say, colors are going to be different in the game, not just "blue" all the time, just testing stuff, as you see in previous screenshots in Steam. Lots of colors are coming.
Thanks for comin' for this one, check out the Discord if you're interested in more, maybe wishlist the game!
And also, aye, maaaybe check the Patreon too, if you're interested. I'll post there more. Next on the list for posting, is some lore about Frei, what type of music does he listen to? His favorite artist? Stuff like that, who knows.
