Hello everyone! We are the development team behind Fleeting Shores (actually, just a husband-and-wife duo). After a long period of development and polishing, we are thrilled to finally release a free Demo. We hope this gives you a hands-on experience of the game's core mechanics.
About the Demo Content
In the full version of the game, your goal is to earn a target amount of gold within a 3-year in-game time limit. In this Demo, you can experience the complete gameplay loop of the [First Year]. During this year, you are free to engage in trade runs, upgrade your ships, hunt for treasures, and fend off pirates. Although time is limited, it is enough to experience the full management cycle—from starting from scratch to building a modest fleet.
What kind of game is this?
This is a Mediterranean maritime trading game fused with Roguelite elements. Simply put, you need to find opportunities in a constantly changing, dynamic market.
High-Risk, High-Reward Trading Unlike traditional "buy low, sell high" mechanics, this game emphasizes catching "Extreme Market Fluctuations." You need to gather intel in taverns, predict which goods will skyrocket in price, and hoard or sell stock to achieve exponential wealth growth.
3-Year Cycle & Inheritance The game has a strict 3-year time limit. If you fail to reach the 500 million goal in your first run, don't lose heart! You can inherit part of your accumulated funds and treasures into the next playthrough, giving you a stronger start. （Coming in Full Release!）
Crew Recruitment & Bonding The NPCs you meet in ports are more than just bystanders. By interacting with them and raising their affection, you can recruit them to your ship. They provide tangible benefits, such as combat/speed boosts, trading discounts, or improved intel accuracy.
Exploration & Combat Use your earnings to upgrade your ship's cargo hold, armor, or cannons. Beyond trading, you can also recruit expedition teams to excavate ancient relics or fend off pirate harassment on the high seas.
A Word from the Developers
We are a husband-and-wife indie development team. While we have done our best to polish the game, given our limited manpower, the Demo may inevitably contain some bugs or rough edges.
Our main goal in releasing this Demo is to hear your real feedback. Whether you find something fun or think a design is flawed, please let us know to help us make the full version better.
Feedback: Please feel free to leave a post in the Steam Community Hub. We check it regularly!
If you enjoy the Demo, please click "Add to Wishlist" on the store page. This is the greatest encouragement for our small team!
Thank you for your support!
