This update refines AI behaviors, improves gameplay mechanics, and addresses key bugs for a smoother, more immersive experience. Enjoy enhanced AI cover usage, realistic fleeing speeds, and polished UI elements.
AI IMPROVEMENTS:
Acceptance Radius Fix:
- Corrected an oversight in the AI "Move to Attack Ranged" function. Previously, the acceptance radius was only 50 unreal units, causing AI to abandon cover and run directly to the player.
- The radius has been increased to 1000 unreal units, allowing AI to hold cover and engage in combat from a distance or move strategically between covers.
Line of Sight Adjustments:
- Changed AI line-of-sight checks from a sphere to a capsule for better accuracy.
- Capsule dimensions adjusted to radius: 2 and half-height: 2, improving AI behavior when shooting from around corners or cover.
Enemy Behavior Tweaks:
- Lowered enemy fleeing speed from 600 to 300 for more realistic movement when retreating.
- Fixed issues with doors not affecting the nav mesh when open, which previously caused bad AI behaviors and navigation problems.
GAMEPLAY FIXES:
- Fixed the lock icon on doors floating in place after the doors were destroyed.
GAME UI & HINTS:
Added a Game Hints Controls Popup Widget:
- Displays hints and control mappings during gameplay.
- Option to enable/disable game control hints in the Options Menu.
Options Menu Enhancements:
- Refined spacing and alignment for various titles, resulting in a cleaner and more organized interface.
This patch brings significant AI behavior improvements and usability enhancements, ensuring a more immersive and polished experience. Thank you for your continued feedback and support!
