I started off this week continuing my task of stapling the mouse control system to a game entirely designed, played, and tested with keyboard-only controls. It actually went pretty well. Now, the player can left-click to move and interact within the game world, and the player can right-click to target and perform some alternate actions. As I mentioned last week, if you want to play a more pure form of the game, this mouse behavior can be disabled. But I have to admit it's pretty convenient to just click where you want to go.

I haven't decided on a cursor I wanted, if any. Sue me.
This was a rather complicated task, which is why I had been putting it off for so long. I could bore you with a lot of the details about graph theory and path algorithms, but instead why not watch a demonstration of the mouse actions on the website?
Perhaps I wasn't ultimately as productive as I could have been this week, but I was fighting back and forth with these mouse controls for hours and hours. But there's good news: only one week left till my planned Beta 0.0 release date. Should be a big day, so watch out for that.
