¡Buenos días, jefe! Hey, here for your shift? Welcome to the newest factory in the Land of the Dead!
That's right—we're all skeletons now, so who needs rest? This facility runs on a 23-hour workday. Efficient, eco-friendly, and nobody has to be fed.
And the remaining hour? That's dance time. The Chieftain personally leads the party. Enjoy your stay!
The Bone Factory Is Open for Business!
Hey everyone, it's your trusty Maggie here. Hope you enjoyed our little "dead people theater"!
As we've mentioned before, we genuinely love creating content together with our community Chieftains. And Bone Bash is our first proper attempt at it—inviting community creators to take part in the entire version, from start to finish.
Take the Bone Factory you saw in the trailer. It was built by our architecture-obsessed Chieftain 【护月孔雀】—some of you may remember his Golden Throne. This time, he used the Carved Stone and Marigold sets from the Bone Bash DLC to build a festival feast made for Día de Muertos.
And those beautifully detailed interior furnishings in the trailer? They come from our very first collaboration with one of the community's finest mod authors, 【leesiontoo】, who created a brand-new batch of Día de Muertos-themed furniture.
One thing we want to make very clear: in line with leesiontoo's own wishes, and with his permission, this set of furniture will be added to Soulmask as a free update. It will not be tied to the Bone Bash DLC in any way—it belongs to every Chieftain in the Soulmask community.
That said, simply "showing you" the Bone Factory isn't enough for us. We want you to take the final step: how about walking into this massive build yourself and joining the party? Or better yet—build your own Bone Factory!
Themed Servers, Blueprints, and More Events!
Bone Bash Festival Servers
Want to "visit" the factory in person? On October 22, we'll be opening a batch of Bone Bash Festival Servers. Drop by and "inspect" the Tribesmen who never clock out—you might even catch them during dance time!
The full server list will be published here when the time comes. Here's what these servers offer:
Official builds open for touring: including the Bone Factory, and the Bone Plaza in the starter area;
5x PvE servers:
XP, gathering and crop yield: 5x
Barbarian taming speed, animal and crop growth: 3x
Carry weight and inventory capacity: 2x
Max Bonfires per player: 10
Two tribe sizes: one batch of 4-player tribes and one batch of 10-player tribes—your pick;
Peaceful mode: no raids, no decay—play completely stress-free;
Día de Muertos limited: wiped after 30 days—even the gates to the Land of the Dead don't stay open forever!
Bone Factory Blueprints
If you remember our recently launched Blueprint feature, it's about to get a brand-new addition—the Bone Factory's builds will be fully included in the Blueprint library!
We've selected and split the factory into several signature structures. Place your very own Marigold fortress anywhere, with a single click.
Note: Due to the size and material cost of some structures, Unlimited Build Mode must be enabled to construct them.
An Event Just for You: Your Memories Here
Honestly—as a game that's been running for two years now, Maggie still remembers everything you Chieftains gave me, and every Soulmask developer, back in Early Access: the FAQ we scrambled together within 72 hours, your jokes about the jaguar's eyes, and the Maggie character the community designed for me (simple, but I've never forgotten it!)
*Oh, who still remembers this…
While designing Bone Bash, we came across a saying from the Día de Muertos tradition that we love: Death is not the end. Being forgotten is. It reminded us of the many Chieftains who stood with us during Early Access and then quietly moved on.
So at this moment, we've decided to look back a little—to talk about the tribes and Tribesmen you once had in Soulmask, and the friends who are no longer in the game. Soulmask may be just one of many games you've played, but I hope you'll remember us, and everything here.
We've set up this event on 【Discord】. Whether you're a brand-new Chieftain or an old friend of many years, come share your story.
Controllers—Yes, Controllers Too!
As mentioned in our last devlog, we'll be putting the fully reworked controller support in your hands this time. But we also know that for a game this complex, controller support is never something you "finish" with a single patch.
So after the October 22 update, we'll be opening a dedicated controller feedback channel on Discord. Any thoughts from your play sessions are welcome there, and we promise every message will be taken seriously. We admittedly don't have much experience with controller support—but we'll absolutely take your criticism to heart.
See You on October 22!
After all, we're not actually undead skeletons who can grind for 23 hours straight—the Bone Bash DLC and the free festival content still need a little more time.
But it's only a few more days. When we're all dancing together in the sea of marigolds, I hope to see you there too!
This is Maggie—see you the day after tomorrow!
