We’re happy to announce that the demo for The Whims of the Gods is now live on Steam! To celebrate this special moment, we’re also thrilled to unveil our brand-new official trailer. It captures the spirit, tension, and beauty of shaping a civilization under divine watch - building, surviving, and facing the unpredictable whims of ancient gods. Check out the newest trailer! In this free demo, you’ll begin your journey in a world where a new civilization takes root. Whether playing solo or with a friend in online co-op, your mission is to lead your people, manage their needs, and navigate the blessings and burdens from the gods above.
Here’s what you can expect to experience:
- Construct and expand your city with a variety of early-game buildings
- Set up food chains, gather resources, and meet your people's evolving demands
- Make meaningful tech decisions that shape your civilization's direction
- Explore a handcrafted map shrouded in fog
- Invoke the gods for blessings or risk provoking their wrath
- Survive core challenges like hunger, happiness, and housing stability
- Play alone or in online two-player co-op
