Hi everyone!
Hope you all had a great New Year. I wanted to share a quick update on what I’ve been working on since the launch of Bean Beasts, and what I’m aiming for in 2026.
Over 5000 Copies Sold Worldwide!
Releasing a game has been a pretty surreal experience. I’ve learned a huge amount along the way, and it’s been amazing seeing people actually play and enjoy something I made on my own. What started as a hobby is starting to feel like it could become something more, and that’s entirely down to the players and everyone who’s supported the game so far, so thank you all for that!

Switch Port in the Works!
The Switch port is taking longer than I originally expected, but it is well underway. This is my first time doing a console port, so it’s been a learning process and it’s hard to give a solid timeline just yet. I’ll share a release date as soon as I can.
There have been a lot of behind-the-scenes changes needed to get things running properly on Switch, but the gameplay itself will be the same as the PC version.

Coming to Mobile - Android and IOS!
I’ve also been spending a lot of time adapting the game for phones and tablets. Tower Defence games on mobile were a big inspiration for Bean Beasts, so I’m really excited to bring it to that platform and hopefully reach a new audience.
Some layout and UI changes were needed to make everything work well with touch controls, and there will be a few graphical limitations, but the core gameplay remains unchanged.

A New Game (Not Bean Beasts 2)
I’ve also started work on a new project. It’s currently taking a back seat while I focus on the ports, but once things settle down I’ll be looking for playtesters to try out an early prototype.
The idea is a building-simulation creature collector set underwater. I’ll share more once the gameplay and art style are more locked in, but I’m excited about where it’s heading. Here's a screenshot of the first prototype to give you an idea:

Thanks again to everyone who followed along and supported my work through 2025. It genuinely means a lot.
Cheers,
Anxious Noob.
Josh.
