This update features the next gamemode added to Goofy, Weapons Race! Although this is not a mode that was heavily requested, the pieces behind the scenes were already 90% in place, allowing an iconic mode to be quickly added to the roster of gamemodes!
New Gamemode: Weapons Race!
Deathmatch just got even more stressful! The next gamemode added to Goofy is Weapons Race, where players must eliminate players with a selection of weapons in order to become victorious!
The only thing that will be randomised in this gamemode is the order the weapons will be given to you. Once you eliminate enough players with the weapon you have, you'll progress to the next one! But beware, if you succumb to a Stink Bomb attack, or get taken out by a rogue Banana Peel, you will be set back a weapon!
Once you have raced through all of the weapons, the final challenge is to eliminate a player with a Stink Bomb to win.
The spawn rate for the pickups will be increased for this mode, just to make getting to the final challenge just a little more difficult! The item pickups will also heavily favour the Stink Bombs over the Banana Peels, so if you want to target someone who is getting a little too far ahead, you have all the tools you need to pull them back!
The host will be able to choose how many eliminations are required to advance to the next weapon, with the default set to 2.
Other Notes
- Fixed an issue where climbing without touching the floor would prevent climbing from working.
- Fixed an issue with achievements not saving immediately after completion.
- Made slight tweaks to the Boxing Glove dash's floor angle detection.
- Made adjustments to the ragdoll force used with certain weapons. A change in a previous update exaggerated the ragdolls a little too much.
- Added extra details to the maps and adjusted the colour grading of the overall game. The shades of colour used on the maps have been adjusted to be more vibrant/fit the aesthetic of a real jungle gym more closely.
- The Original map has received some layout changes. (The time trial route is unaffected)
- Disabled items will now be highlighted in red in the Game Settings menu.
