Better Than Dead: Level Select + New Mission Update is live
The Level Select Update is now live.
For Better Than Dead, this is an important update because it brings the game closer to the structure I want it to have when finished. It will also make it easier for me to manage individual missions and add new ones in future updates.
For players, completed missions can now be replayed directly from the main menu. You can return to your favorite levels, improve your records, and try to earn the Black Star rank without having to replay the entire main run.
This system also opens the way for future additions connected to ranks, records, and other unlocks.
Level Select
Each unlocked mission now has its own card showing your best time and highest rank.
You can replay missions as many times as you want to improve your result or simply return to your favorite fights.
To unlock a mission in Level Select, it must first be unlocked in the main run.
New mission and Blood Funds This rework
As mentioned previously, Blood Funds This has been rebuilt and split into two missions.
The first mission is completely new. It is an assault on an enemy hideout, with a new soundtrack, destructible objects, and many materials that bullets can penetrate.
The warehouse section of Blood Funds This remains, but now includes more action. Most of the previous exterior section has been removed to reduce empty spaces and keep the mission more focused.
And yes, the enemy on top of the crane is still there.
I hope you enjoy both missions.
Gameplay improvements
This update also includes balance improvements in several missions.
Sliding can now be performed while reloading, which should improve the flow of combat.
I have also added another fix for the audio issue that could sometimes cause the sound to become muted or muffled after restarting a mission.
