Hey Washers,
Pigxel has a date with some seriously dirty pixels.
Pixel Washer launches into Steam Early Access on October 15.
October 15 was our real launch day and there's already plenty of grime waiting to be scrubbed, but we don't want to stop there. Early Access gives us the chance to launch the game, get it into your hands, and keep making Pixel Washer bigger alongside the people actually playing it.
Why Early Access?
Pixel Washer started as a small, cozy game from solo developer Valadria about a pig, a power washer, and a whole lot of filthy pixels.
Then Acclaim came aboard.
Together, we started looking at how much further we could take Pigxel’s world. More things to wash. More equipment. More ridiculous messes. More reasons to come back after October 15.
Early Access gives us the room to do exactly that.
From day one, you’ll be able to blast your way through a variety of handcrafted pixel art levels, earn money from completed jobs, upgrade your washers, unlock vehicles and equipment, and reveal the colorful worlds hiding underneath all that grime.
And October 15 is only the beginning.
Throughout Early Access, Valadria and Acclaim plan to continue expanding the game with new content, features, quality-of-life improvements, and community-driven updates.
We’re also exploring additional surprises, including crossover and licensing opportunities, as we build toward the full 1.0 release.
Most importantly, we want to hear from you.
What jobs did you love? What needs another pass? What equipment do you want?
Tell us, because at the end of the day, there's really only one question that matters:
What should Pigxel wash next
What Can You Expect?
When Early Access begins on October 15, you’ll step into the goggles of Pigxel, our plucky porcine cleaning professional tasked with restoring a grimy pixelated world one filthy sprite at a time.
Grab your power washer, tackle increasingly dirty jobs, earn money, upgrade your equipment, and uncover the colorful pixel art hiding underneath all that grime.
What’s Coming During Early Access?
More to Wash: New content and more filthy places desperately in need of Pigxel’s attention.
More Tools: Continued expansion and refinement of Pigxel’s cleaning arsenal.
Quality-of-Life Improvements: Updates based on how you actually play Pixel Washer once it’s in your hands.
Community Feedback: Your feedback will help shape development as we move toward 1.0.
More Surprises: We’re exploring crossovers, licensing opportunities, and a few other ideas we’re not quite ready to hose down in public yet.
And What About Consoles?
Console development remains part of our larger plan for Pixel Washer.
Following Early Access, we’ll continue building toward the full 1.0 release and planned console rollout in 2027, including Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
We’ll have much more to share about that journey as development continues.
Can’t wait until October 15?
