Hi, Gamers!
Tina here—Social Media Expert and Host at RolldBox Games. Today, I’m chatting with Ferran, one of our Co-Founders, as well as the Game Designer and Creative Director of the studio at RolldBox Games 👋
The whole team at ROLLDBOX GAMES is beyond hyped thinking about the moment ‘MoV: Origins’ finally reaches you all.
We can’t wait to hear your thoughts and impressions on the game.
Maybe you already have some first reactions from what we’ve been sharing so far?
Feel free to drop them! We'd also love to know what you'd like to see next — that way we can give you more behind-the-scenes bits and dev insights 👀
You can also follow us on X @MasksOfTheVoid — we’re about to start sharing some extra making-of goodies…
Inside the Development Process
In the previous Devlog, we gave you a sneak peek at the procedural maps we’ve been working on.
The Mazes in ‘Masks of the Void: Origins’ are specially crafted just for you — designed to give you a fresh, varied experience every time you dive in. No two runs are the same, and every time you play, new challenges await.
You’ve got to enjoy them. Seriously!
We honestly had a blast creating these — always thinking about those key gameplay moments you’d experience. Now… we won’t lie: testing them was a whole different story.
When we needed to make sure everything was working right (yep, we really care about quality), tracking down the exact room and figuring out why something broke could be a real headache.
So yeah… we ended up playing through them a lot — just to make sure we’re delivering something solid.
We also can’t forget about the environment art in each room. This time around, we pushed hard to capture a more natural, immersive vibe — and that meant slow, delicate work.
But hey — it was all done with tons of passion, just so you can enjoy ‘Masks of the Void’ to the fullest!
Sneak Peek of Upcoming Content
And when it comes to hidden worlds… The Void is king.
We spent a lot of time crafting its architecture — as we mentioned in previous Devlogs —, but what we haven’t shown you yet are the different objects we created to bring those spaces to life.
Here’s a small selection!
The ones we got truly obsessed with? The candles.
More to share
We haven’t shared much about the music yet — but we’re honestly so proud of the game’s soundtrack.
There are some incredible creators behind it!
Just wait until the game drops and check out the Credit List — you’ll see what we mean.
It’s hard to put into words how rich and powerful the soundtrack is.
All we can really do is invite you to put on some good headphones and feel the full force of it. 🎧
It’s immersive, it surrounds you — and that’s exactly how we hope you’ll experience it.
You already got a sneak peek in the trailer.
See you in the next Devlog with more and better!
