Greeting pilots!
I've noticed that a significant number of players are not enjoying the movement controls in Starship Scramble. To address this, I've made a crucial update introducing general controls using WASD for movement and the mouse for rotation. This change is aimed at simplifying the gameplay experience for many players. Additionally, you can now choose your preferred control scheme at the beginning of the game or adjust it in the options menu.
In terms of accessibility, basic options for gameplay, video, and audio have been added, allowing you to customize the game to your liking. If you have specific settings in mind, feel free to let me know in the community post or on our Discord server.
Let's talk about new stuff coming in this update. While testing, a friend of mine questioned about the animal crews he had chosen and expressed a desire to see them more involved rather than as idle images. I share his sentiment, and I'm sure many of you do too. I have been thinking of the issue ever since, this is what I got to show, EMOJIs. I dedicated extra time to develop emotes that showcase the personalities of the crews you've recruited. They appear when you got hit or win the wave and of course, you have the option of turn if off in setting. I really wish I could do more on this object, but Steam fest is just around the corner.
Have yourself an epic day,
