Here is what is new in Overgrowth in this weekly alpha. If you are confused what a weekly alpha is, or even what Overgrowth is, please read our fancy FAQ (http://blog.wolfire.com/2009/02/overgrowth-faq/). Basically, we are developing a massive video game from the ground up — we are able to do this completely independently by accepting preorders for the game before it’s done!
Here are a few highlights from the source repository:
- Preliminary physics editor (http://blog.wolfire.com/2009/06/physics-editor-part-i/) (select objects and press enter to activate them)
- Preliminary rigging
- Fixed the ‘black goo’ shader bug
- Fixed some Mac editor bugs
- Started using Doxygen (http://www.stack.nl/~dimitri/doxygen/)
- Other misc fixes
Thanks as always for all the support! See you guys in IRC (http://www.wolfire.com/irc) and the forums.
