Hello, minions!
The sense of an upcoming warm and cheerful summer makes our undead hearts suffer, but it is what it is. At least we can hide from the sun by working hard on the upcoming major update to Be My Horde in our dark, damp basements. Today, we step into the spotlight for a moment to share updates on both the development and the future of our game. And there’s some very important stuff today, so we highly recommend sticking with us until the end of this announcement.
DEAL THE CARDS
First, just a quick look behind the scenes. As we already announced, the upcoming changes will be significant as they will heavily affect gameplay. We have a cool new feature for you, along with a plethora of improvements to polish the experience of your future crusades. And, as is often the case with this kind of under-the-hood work, there’s not much to show.
However, we recently presented you with some sketches of new character portraits, and today we’re giving you a sneak peek at the new look of the perks cards. They will not only be more appealing, but also far more readable, as we intend to improve the descriptions. Just don't mind the descriptions that you see on the graphic here; it's just a placeholder. The look of the achievements cards will also be updated, along with the addition of some completely new ones!
Of course, there will be many more visual changes, and we’re looking forward to sharing them with you in the not-so-distant future… after all, Moriana’s Dominion definitely needs a makeover, doesn’t it? ;)
Remember that you can join our Discord server, where we’ll share new behind-the-scenes assets more frequently and earlier than here in the Steam announcements. You can do it HERE.
PAY THE PRICE
We’ve come a long way since the announcement of Be My Horde and sharing the first demo. What started as a minor project has turned into something much bigger, and, truth be told, we’re still trying to find our place in all of this. How long this journey has been is best seen in a simple comparison of this:
With this:
And that’s just a single screenshot. We sometimes forget how much the gameplay has changed, how much content we’ve added, and how many smaller (but numerous!) improvements we’ve made along the way. And it’s all thanks to you and your feedback! You’re helping us make the game better every day.
As Be My Horde continues to grow and evolve, we’ve been considering a change to its base price, and we believe the time has come. Especially with two major updates on the horizon that will significantly expand both the quality and the amount of content. The first one, which we mentioned earlier, will bring major gameplay changes. The second, planned for the second half of the year, will add a substantial amount of new content. And so…
On Friday, May 1st, we will increase the base price from $4.99 to $9.99.
We will release the next major update in JUNE. We won’t share the exact date just yet, but it’s more likely to land in the first half of the month. We want Be My Horde to be priced at $9.99 when the update launches, but for both marketing and technical reasons, we need to increase the price slightly earlier.
If you still want to get Be My Horde for $4.99, make sure to purchase it before May 1st. It’s currently available for even less, as we’re running a 10% discount for the next 24 hours.
If you have any questions about this price change, feel free to drop them in the comments.
SAY THE FINAL WORDS
That’s it for today. We know we’re not showing too much of the June update yet, but trust us—we’re saving the most exciting things as a surprise. Nevertheless, we’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes content in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, if you’ve been thinking about jumping in, now is a good moment to grab Be My Horde while it’s still at the current price. Have fun. And stay tuned for future updates… this is just the beginning for our powerful necromancess.
PRAISE BE MORIANA!
