Hello, Engineers!
One year ago, Automate It was launched, and what an incredible journey it has been! Today, we celebrate our 1st Anniversary, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you. Whether you’ve been with us since day one or just joined the community, your creativity, feedback, and optimized solutions have shaped the game into what it is today.
To celebrate, we are rolling out a major performance and stability update. And get ready, Year 2 of our Fortnightly Challenges begins next week!
Check out the full patch notes below:
⚙️ Engine & Performance
Engine Upgrade: Updated the core engine version for significant performance gains.
Upscaling Improvements: Improved DLSS implementation and overall upscaling stability for crisper visuals.
Stutter Reduction: Significantly reduced stuttering in larger maps and areas with high object density.
Asset Streaming: Optimized map loading and streaming performance across all worlds.
Memory Management: Improved memory handling to reduce random crashes and freezes.
🌐 Infrastructure & Backend
Server Migration: Migrated game servers to a new global cached IP infrastructure, providing lower latency and improved response times worldwide.
Reliability: Added additional backend protections to mitigate server instability spikes and connection drops.
Stability: General server maintenance and backend optimizations for a smoother online experience.
✨ Quality of Life (QoL)
Pause Menu Update: Leaderboards and Gallery are now accessible directly from the pause menu!
New Controls: Added support for rotating the camera with the arrow keys (keybinds can be fully customized).
Camera Customization: Added a new option to configure camera movement speed.
Interface: Improved menu responsiveness and smoothed out UI transitions.
Loading: Improved loading times specifically when joining Community Hub levels.
🛠️ Bug Fixes
Fortnightly Challenge: Resolved an issue causing an infinite refresh loop on the weekly challenge level.
Community Hub Fixes: Fixed lighting inconsistencies and specific collision issues in World 5 maps.
Collision Cleanup: Fixed decorations incorrectly appearing as blocking objects (red material) in various community maps.
Connectivity: Patched rare backend issues causing occasional connection instability.
Asset Management: Fixed rare cases where map assets would fail to preload correctly.
Thank you for being part of our first year. Here is to many more optimized circuits and automated dreams!
See you in Year 2, starting next week!
