This build adds the Disco stage and Stage Selection for Offline Mode, allowing players to choose their location before starting a match. We've also resolved some bugs that were affecting players joining and ending games
Additions:
Officially added Disco stage!
Added stage selection for Offline Mode
Randomize stage selection for Join Random Room in Online Mode
Changes:
Enabled keyboard to join offline games (you no longer have to start a game with keyboard to use it)
Slightly shrunk Canal stage for better camera visibility
Moved menu status bar to the bottom of the screen, where it can share space with controller icons
Fixes:
Fixed issue where players sometimes couldn't join subsequent offline games
Fixed mouse input issue where it sometimes wouldn't "push" during gameplay
fixed issue where sometimes a winner on the disco stage wouldn't end the game
Performance:
Improved player input and menu performance
What's Next:
When you join a random room, the "host" (typically the player in the first slot) randomizes the stage. This is a temporary measure so people can play the demo with some stage variety while the long-term changes are in progress.
The plan is for the next build to re-enable custom room creation and room selection in Online Mode. These were disabled when making a menu overhaul due to them being more complicated and needing more changes.
