Update 0.610: Major Features and Improvements
Hello, Controllers! We’re thrilled to announce Update 0.610, packed with exciting new features and improvements to elevate your experience. After some time without a major release, we wanted to get this update out to you despite a few known bugs. Thanks to your feedback, we’re constantly improving. Here’s what’s new:
- Random VFR Traffic Generation: The previous "Test Mode" is now Endless Mode, featuring customizable minimum and maximum traffic intervals for both IFR and VFR. Time intervals are now shown in minutes for convenience.
- Expanded Hangar Area: New parking options for aircraft with no set limit on the number of planes in hangars.
- Automatic Route Changes During Runway Shifts: IFR traffic will adjust to the active runway, and VFR traffic will update their position in the circuit accordingly.
- IFR Holding System: To prevent simultaneous approaches, IFR traffic will now hold at designated fixes at the start of approach procedures.
- New Aircraft and Liveries: In addition to the A320, B738, C182, and PA28, we’re introducing the AC9, AT72, BE9L, C56X, C206, C208, E50P, GLEX, LJ45, PA34, PA44, SR20, and SR22. Not all aircraft are available yet as we work to balance traffic generation.
- Direct Base Leg Correction for VFR Approaches: VFR aircraft can now be cleared for a direct base leg when appropriate, allowing smoother approaches.
- Radar Zoom Fix on Tutorial Restart: Resolved issues with radar zoom levels resetting incorrectly or even not working after tutorial restarts.
- IFR Aircraft Approach Speeds: Aircraft on approach will now maintain appropriate speeds, eliminating the long final drags some users experienced.
- Simulation Continuation After Collision: After an aircraft collision, pressing "Continue" will remove involved aircraft, allowing the simulation to proceed.
- Out-of-Bounds Aircraft: Be alert—VFR aircraft that stray too far from the airport will now trigger a Game Over.
- Updated Fix Names in TMA and Departure Procedures.
- Added VFR Route Map.
- IFR Arrival and Departure Route Maps fixed
- Runway-Specific Procedure Maps for 13/31
- Improved 5NM Circle Visibility on TWR Mode Map.
- Corrected Map Visibility Selection in APP Mode.
- Resolved Taxiway Issues: Aircraft should no longer taxi out of bounds or head to undefined parking spots.
