Hello everyone 🖤
Our next major Early Access update is arriving October 16!
Update 0.4.10 marks one of our biggest milestones for Controller Support so far, bringing Concubine closer to full controller support..
After several updates focused heavily on controller integration, we're now reaching a point where most of the functionality that directly affects gameplay and everyday interactions is supported. From character customization and inventory management to Build Mode, vendor interactions, and menu navigation, the majority of the core controller experience is now in place.
There's still some finishing work ahead, particularly around Pose Mode, Photo Mode, and certain Settings controls but the vast majority of the core controller experience is now available. For us, this represents a significant milestone in Concubine's Early Access development.
Beyond Controller Support, 0.4.10 will introduce the new Passion Rose Lingerie Set and Warrior Tulip Tattoo Set, expand Palace decoration options with new improvements & furniture and bring further improvements to combat, equipment, environments, and performance.
Let's take a closer look at what's coming on October 16!

Controller Support: A Major Milestone
Controller Support has been one of our biggest development priorities, and 0.4.10 brings us closer than ever to completing it.
Over the past several updates, we've been steadily expanding gamepad functionality across Concubine. With this update, the majority of controller interactions players encounter during regular gameplay will be supported, making it possible to navigate and interact with significantly more of the game without switching back to mouse and keyboard.
The Character Customization screen, including tattoo selection, will now support gamepad navigation. We've also expanded controller functionality to the Tutorial, Level Complete screen, Build Menu, Decoration Mode, Decoration Vendor, and Carpenter interfaces.
We've also continued refining previously supported interfaces, including the Main Menu, Pause Menu, World Map, Inventory, and Companion Selection screens. These improvements focus on making navigation more responsive, consistent, and comfortable while reducing overly sensitive movement and unintended repeated inputs.
While a few areas still need attention, particularly some Settings control, pose mode and photo mode the bulk of the work required for the core controller experience is now behind us.
For us, this makes 0.4.10 much more than another incremental update. It represents a major step toward one of our most important Early Access development goals.

Passion Rose Lingerie & Warrior Tulip Tattoos
New customization options are also arriving with 0.4.10!
The Passion Rose Lingerie Set will be added to the lingerie collection, offering a new, sexy look for your character and more opportunities to experiment with Photo Mode.
We're also introducing the Warrior Tulip Tattoo Set, expanding the available tattoo designs and giving you more ways to personalize your character. Please keep sharing your tattoo idea with us and we will do our best to add them!
Alongside these additions, Jafar's inventory will receive new accessories focused on wisdom and intelligence.

Build Mode & Palace Decoration
We're continuing to expand the Palace decoration system, and this update brings several improvements to how players browse, manage, and place decorations.
Opening the Build Menu will now automatically activate Build Mode, and we're introducing a separate keybind to toggle it directly.
Decoration Mode will receive gamepad support, including improved item navigation, automatic scrolling to selected decorations, and category switching with the controller's shoulder buttons.
The Carpenter trade windows will also support controller navigation. Players will be able to switch between the vendor's inventory and their own decoration inventory using Y on Xbox controllers or Triangle on PlayStation controllers.
We're also adding new placeable decorations, giving you more ways to make your Palace your own.

Combat & Equipment Improvements
Combat is receiving another round of improvements, with additional work on weapon Special Attacks, hit detection, and balancing.
The Spear Special Attack has been updated to a three-hit sequence, while the Great Sword Special Attack has received improved hit detection. We've also addressed an issue with weapon activation during the second Dagger Special Attack and made further balancing adjustments across weapon sets.
The Fury Bar is getting a refreshed visual design, accompanied by a new sound effect when it fills, providing clearer feedback during combat.
We've also continued polishing existing outfits and armor, with improvements to cloth behavior, fitting, morphs, and overall visual quality.
This includes updates to the Apprentice Gear skirt and chest, the Gilded Ottoman skirt, and Midnight Siren character morphs, alongside several additional clothing and equipment adjustments.
As always, these improvements are part of our ongoing work to make equipment behave more consistently across different body shapes, animations, and combinations.

World & Other Improvements
Alongside the main additions, 0.4.10 includes another round of environment improvements, optimizations, and gameplay fixes.
We've continued performance work in The Palace and the Grand Bazaar, including further optimizations to the outer areas of Topkapı and a fix for movement issues when stepping up in certain locations.
Navigation has also been improved in Yedikule Fortress, Rumeli, and the Bandit Camp, accompanied by adjustments to enemy placement, walking animations, and weapon displays.
We've also fixed floating weapon displays in Galata Square and walking animation issues in Yedikule Fortress and Maiden Tower.

Looking Ahead
With the vast majority of core Controller Support now in place, we're entering the final stages of this major development effort.
Our next steps will focus on finishing the remaining controller functionality, particularly in Pose Mode, Photo Mode, and certain Settings controls, while continuing to refine the overall gamepad experience.
At the same time, we're beginning preparations for our upcoming Halloween update, including work on a new base and new costumes. We're looking forward to sharing more about these additions as development progresses.
Beyond that, we'll continue improving combat, animations, equipment, and performance, alongside further gameplay polish and new content.
Reaching this stage with Controller Support is an important milestone for our team, and we're excited to shift more of our attention toward what's coming next.
As always, your Early Access feedback plays an important role in shaping Concubine. Please continue sharing your reports, suggestions, screenshots, and anything else that helps us improve the game.
Thank you for your continued support!
