Racers!
Eight time's the charm. Seven times have I withdrawn Dart Racer from participating in Next Fest, only to promise myself (and some of you) that the Next Next Fest will be the one I'll take the plunge. Boy, was it worth it! This is just PERFECT for the quickly-approaching Early Access launch on Tuesday, June 23!
There's a lot of you playing the game, and even more adding it to their wishlist. In fact - Dart Racer's wishlist count has almost DOUBLED in size over the course of the last 10 days or so. THANK YOU. Time for a little token of appreciation. The Next Fest demo (only available until June 22nd!) has been expanded by a new Desert track, as well as a spiffy new Dart - called the M4gnum along with some upgrades.
Why not launch the demo right now, and take it for a spin, shake up some dust in the Scorched Grounds? By the way - don't worry too much that the demo is going away. You'll be able to pick your Dart Racing career right where you left off, as the progression is transferred into the full game!
Steam Deck / Steam Machine status: VERIFIED
One more nice thing happening right before the EA Launch. Not much of a surprise - I posted a video of the game performing nicely on Steam Deck here before. But now it's official. Steam Team has taken Dart Racer for a spin in their test lab, and the results are in:
More so, this means the game is also Steam Machine verified, and the appropriate glyph will be displayed on the game's store page once the coveted "ValveBox" finally goes on sale (that is: when they manage to outbid some AI company and secure some RAM, VRAM, and CPUs to actually make the hardware). Anyway - Dart Racer is ready to go!
One thing left to mention - if you haven't done it yet, and you love to defy gravity, make sure to add Dart Racer to your wishlist. I'll even make it easier for you by placing a handy widget right here:
