Demo Update News!
The Erenshor Demo is receiving one of its last updates before we launch into Early Access next year. This update comes with QOL improvements, bug fixes, and a few new things to grind for. See below!
Features:
- ”Blessed Items” can drop from any mob. They’ll have a blue sparkle effect, and better stats than their non-blessed versions ***
- SimPlayer combat AI improvements
- Charm Molds will drop randomly
- Charm Slot added (no charms available in demo - crafting reagents drop elsewhere)
- SimPlayers will now retain their previous items for each gear slot that you can make them switch between in their ‘inspect’ window by left-clicking on any gear slot. (Most will start without any alternate items available)
- Smithing with ancient coal will now create a ‘blessed’ version of the item (doesn't apply to quest items)
- Resist changes across the board - resists are more effective
Balance:
- On-click items must be hotkeyed to use their effects
- Items with on-click abilities now have cooldowns
- Magic Bolt and Brax’s Touch damage increased
- Charmed mobs generate better aggro and can more effectively tank as a result
Bug fixes:
- SimPlayers will now always be able to stand back up after combat
- SimPlayers will now gain XP at the correct rate
- Using food + water while running won’t interrupt the effect
- Player.log file will be much lighter, took out a lot of debug data
- Druid Pets will despawn if their summoner dies
*** Note that in the full game, blessed items will be able to be further upgraded by finding rare components and using a forge. These components are not available in the demo.
This build of Erenshor contains numerous re-writes to game systems including SimPlayer behavior, quest functionality, and save functionality. Please report any lost progress or issues so I can fix them as soon as possible.
This build has been thoroughly tested by the Erenshor community, so I don't anticipate any big issues :)
